Your feelings on Mr G.Brown now.

1. Right, so drivers are fined for breaking the speed limit and then they do it again. Serial shoplifters continue to offend despite being previously prosecuted. Does that mean those laws also aren't being enforced? As for ASBOs, most are enforced by local councils and Police. However, unless someone is seen to be breaking their ASBO how else can it be enforced?

2. You can't remember the NHS jobs? Was it that insignificant?

3. Tobacco tax going up - pay more attention to the yearly budget by the chancellor!

4. Afghanistan - this has been going on WAY before Bush jr. AND Bush snr. were in power and involved the Tory party before it involved Labour. And was it was ok for Thatcher to wage war on Iran? Also Go look up the Iraqi "supergun" affair to see the scandals involved with the Tories back then.

millenium dome - It's now called the O2 arena and succefully holds events/ concerts.

id cards - Still at the proposal stage.

nhs it system - What's the problem with it?

multiple reported loss of data through cds laptops - That's down to government agencies/ departments not the government themselves. These are the same agencies/ departments that will operate whichever political party is in power.

my ma recently had eye surgery they couldnt even get her records from city hospital to the eye hospital.

60 millions users of the NHS, it is unfortunately expected that there will be at least one cock up.

When one of my brothers was being (youngest one of 'em) born, they hid my mother's records to cover up mistakes that had been made by a certain ex-employee. According to my dad you should have seen teh look on her face when they suggested it was her first child!

Good post.

That's a local Primary Care Trust issue, and do you think this has never happend before under any other government? I thought you were going to link to some reported NHS IT crash that wiped out millions of patient records or something...

i remember watching major on the telly when i was still a toddler and i think he was a good pm

:D:D:D:D:D:D

How you can comment on politics and expect to be taken seriously beats me Carl.......you are 17, jobless and live with your parents, you havent even begun to experience life in the big bad world and most of what you are talking about happened before you were even born.

Stick to Alloys and painting badges ....it would appear (at least) you do know a slight amount on the subject

I voted labour into power in '97. I honestly thought they would be better than what went before. They doubled the rate of rise on the fuel duty escalator in their first budget, it was all downhill from there for me. I didn't vote at the last election, for the first time ever, I don't like or trust any of them. A plague on all their houses.

  1. falklands was justified was british and argentinians tried to grab it.
You should study a bit of recent UK history

Argentina invaded due to Thatcher government incompetence (gave many false signals by removing the protection from the Island which Galteri took as a signal that it wasn't wanted)

..this led to an invasion which resulted in
254 UK deaths and a 1000 or so who suffer PTSD (some still do).

Ironically, this event lead to her 2nd term in office in which she went on to wreak the UK economy big time (she would almost certainly have been voted out if it wasn't for the Falklands war)
