Yellow - FS Project Seicento 2

First thing Lewis checked and yes it spins*. Although he did mention it looked different to the one on that was on his old sei therefore we still don't know if it is suitable. It will return to the shed if it's not.

*I may instigate a new rule that you explain the mechanism and reasoning behind what you're testing so that I also learn but chances are I probably won't

Ok, it needs to spin to work, if it dosnt spin, it wont work

They get splashed with water and other crud whilst driving through puddles etc so are reasonably robust to the elements

As said luckily I'm not a gambling person as the genny had been left with the ignition switched on and the battery was flat. I'll ask for it to be charged tomorrow and that should be that hopefully

request in and should be done sometime this week

Hi folks

Finally back to the shed yesterday. Yellows still firing quickly so good times.

Abss if theres a three pin code reader then mucho appreciated.

Just bumped into colin and mal at persley and got a few ideas to try n get to the bottom of yellows emissions issues. Time to form a plan of attack :)

Back to the shed last night this time because Lewis had acquired some diagnostic equipment we could plug in to Yellow to see if it could pull up any faults. Unfortunately in the process we managed to flatten the battery again and had to jump start (doubled-up leads too lol) so the ecu was definitely back to learning. Lewis also thinks the fact the ecu is from a 1.1 and the engine is a 1.2 is complicating things as well so all in all probably not a complete success however here is the data for you all to pour over - I hope you can make it out

It wasn't a complete waste of time as we've started forming plans for the next major fix-it meet. This will possibly be the 8th March dependent on how everyone's fixed and whether or not I can sort out couple of things before then. marti155, it should be ok for you to crash at mine on the Saturday as long as I can sort out the aforementioned couple of things. Ransoman can we take you up on the offer of the charged battery please. If you're unavailable on the Saturday I could pick it up from yours on the evening of Thursday the 6th

I'll get a proper thread up later if this is going ahead

Just for future reference. .. if anything needs a jump start at the shed, the genny is 12v ;)

Sorry folks, thought I could commit to the next fix-it meet but news last night has thrown this totally up in the air again. I'll know more in the next couple of days and I hope it will go ahead but there will be added complications

Hope it is nothing too bad.

I will get the battery topped up. My garage is very warm as it in the middle of a row or 3 so it never gets below freezing so the battery should still be good.

I will bring it down at the next fix it.

I also have a new tool i can bring if required, A 450nm corded impact wrench. Assuming the genny can give 1kw then it will work at the barn.

I have impact sockets from 10mm to 22mm and i also have a 32mm and a 36mm so hubnuts and any seized bolts beware.

Cool, if you are can you bring your foot pump too - I popped up to the shed at lunchtime and thought the tyres were looking a little flat. Pls'n'thnks

Can someone check the tyre sizes of yellow please n ta...

Ach well..... thought I had a set of tyres for it.... never mind...

yup abarth addition which has the abarth 14s and the stupid wheel spaces and studs instead of bolts lol

also ive found that ecu cable 3 pin if you want me to send it up for ya
