I need a copy of Windows XP to do a fresh install on an old laptop.
Where the cheapest place i can get it?

You can get copies of XP off most p2p networks (but watch for Trojans) or just borrow one.

If you also need a CoA licence then buy one off eBay (but make sure it matches the CD)

There is a serial on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop can this be used?

Make sure you get an oem version - retail versions won't accept oem serials and vice a versa.
