Press and keep hold of "shift" and press F8 repeatedly when first powering up, should take you to the bios menu? Then should be able to start in safe mode? Once done, reboot and start up normally? I've had my PC reboot on me a few times, this is what was suggested to me and it seemed to fix it? Hope that helps, otherwise, yep, burn it 
Will it boot in Safe Mode ?

i have no password problem, i removed it, new problem came after.
problem is windows tries to start then reboots even in safe mode

I know was just stating there's easier ways around passwords using simple cmd functions (thanks YouTube)
Any joy with your son remembering the disc? Or any idea when you will get it?
