Thermostat working as it should?
Fan cutting in?
No airlocks?

No obvious issue..

Never lost coolant.. level firm for 4 years and 25k

BUT.. It always runs poorly if started with 1 block of temperature on the display

Reading the code MIGHT be enlightening..

I will post the technical detail in the Panda section :)

May be unrelated but had a customer with a Nissan Micra some years ago so probably SPI that if started and moved up the road, switched off and restarted ten minutes later, would flood to the point you could only restart with new plugs or pull the fuel pump fuse until it cleared, turned out Nissan knew about it and a temp sensor and a short section of wiring was the cure/modification.

I plugged in my software a while back expecting a stand.out Wrong Figure

But had air coolant, and cars aircon sensor all within a few degrees

In Lockdown it had sat parked for 5+ days.. set out to Tesco at 7pm..still in full Sun..
So @20'c

Ran sick for 1 minute then perfect..

Convinced its a Bad Temperature input

Thread running in Panda section now :)

First full month on the new boiler...27 quid gas bill.

This month last year 51 quid...however I cannot remember if gas cost twice as much this time last year so god knows if we've saved anything.

To be fair heating has been on in the mornings due to cold August this month and he has a bath every day...so we're never gonna be super low.

However seems like we're using less...and that gap is only gonna grow when we start properly heating the house.

Must be a northern thing as we're still running aircon almost constantly down here.
A bit parky tonight though, most windows closed at around 6pm. Was on holiday in the Brecon beacons a few t=years back at around this time of year. I made the mistake of trying to sleep in the awning, and ended the first night in the car as it was so cold.

Been 7 degrees some mornings...it's been like autumn most the month until the end.
I am still sleeping with windows wide open so it must be no less than 12/13C round here. 7 is def getting cool. You remind me I need to sweep the fires flue and replace the door seal. Ive had the seal kit for 9 months, time to actually fit the things.

Currently reading 17'C (outside) on the Alexa on my desk. The heath-robinson thermometer I have rigged up here is currently reading 22'C in the office.

Ignore the time and date, that needs to be set manually via USB and resets whenever the power is cut so it just does its own thing

At least you managed to cut the grass, has the missus been nagging you?:)
Aye it just got to a point where I was like "sod it, I'll get a second mortgage and finally buy a mower big enough".

I've been doing it with the shears since we moved in, I was just about halfway..

Where my daughter lived when they were in southern Maryland it was very rural and the houses generally had a lot of land around them. The properties went right out to the road with no fences and most were beautifully mowed and very smart looking. I'd guess it would be a good mornings work on a ride on to mow most of them. It was lovely just driving around in this semi wooded environment with all the nicely mowed lawns.

Use public transport, we're told.
So today, I had to deliver the Doblo to Witney, for the garage that fitted the cambelt in January to rectify their work, as it is now screaming, and the water pump is leaking.
A gentle country drive, 25 minutes.
To get home, using buses, is more complicated, as there's no direct route. Instead of a 15 minute walk, the garage owner gave me a lift to the bus stop. 7 minutes later, on the bus. An uncomfortable journey to Oxford, then a 7 minute walk between bus stops, and a 5 minute wait, for the bus home. Slightly less uncomfortable. At least the bus stop is at the bottom of the road, so only 2 minutes walk.
Arrived home in just under 2 hours.
Both drivers seemed unable to look ahead, and did not slow early enough for each stop. So at every stop, they stopped about 2 metres past the waiting customers.
Will have to do the return journey tomorrow or Friday.

Early 2006 we bought a Panda from Bristol. Walk to the bottom of the road, get the bus to Swindon. Then a short walk to the railway station, wait a while, then train to Bristol. Taxi to the garage, arrived 4 hours after leaving home. Journey home, 1 hour.

Pandas on the top!!
Ive been waiting ages to get that one on again.
Anyway you have done your bit for the environment and society by supporting public transport.I dont think they do bus passes here anymore.

I believe we can still get bus passes, but just before I was eligible, they moved the goal posts. Used to be from 60th birthday, but now from normal retirement age, so 66 for me. My partner used to use hers all the time, and when I was working, she'd trip around the countryside on the top deck of buses. I thought we could do that together as soon as I got mine, but too late now. She's no longer capable of getting onto buses, so when I'm eligible, there's little need.

Made the error of picking public transport when the C3 had a missing CV boot that was getting fixed..but wouldn't be fixed in time for a day trip that would involve a 3 hour round trip and I didn't fancy running it that long with a dry CV.

Google suggested that my house to Berwick would take 30 mins more each way which is within reason. Breakdown was about 50/50 between the 7 miles to the station and the 63 miles from the station to Berwick.

The reality was 45 mins more each way but I'd expected that...and the lad had his tablet with him so not a disaster. Not been on a train with seats available apart from "heritage" lines since I was child myself. Which is fine...except he was too young to reserve a seat for..so he got my seat and I stood for the whole trip.

But 4.5 hours to complete what would have taken 3 in the car and cost less wasn't that bad compared to my sister coming over from hers who doesn't drive. 4 hours to do what takes 40 mins in the car..she was travelling 6 hours in the day for my boys birthday party which somewhat took the shine off it!
