What's made me grumpy today? Well, just been away on our holidays - 7 days around the northern Croatian Islands on a wee cruise ship - and had a really lovely time. Unfortunately started feeling unwell about half way through it but just thought I had a cold, Runny nose and occasional sneezing, didn't greatly interfere with the enjoyment of the holiday. Had a terrible journey back with long delay to the flight caused by the runway problems at Edinburgh airport, eventually getting back home at 3.00 am on the Monday morning. Straight to bed and woke up mid morning feeling pretty grim. Mrs J said "I wonder"? and looked out one of the Covid test kits we've still got. Damn it, I'm Covid positive!
I've notified NHS Scotland and the tour company (airline/cruise company) and been on the NHS Scotland website which advises: "If you have a positive coronavirus test result, try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days after the day you took your test, or from the day your symptoms started (whichever was earlier). You should count the day after you took the test as day 1"
Think I've covered all the bases? I'm already feeling quite a lot better but am very dizzy with a bit of a head ache still. Decided I'm going to continue to isolate and avoid people, like neighbours who are all keen to hear about our holiday, until at least Sunday or longer if I don't feel a lot better.
Just to make you all jealous? and trying to cheer myself up, here's a picture of the boat:
