It was repairable...which is good as I neither had to put the spare on or let my wife use mine.
First time a guy in a tyre shop has put a seat cover on to protect his overalls from the car..

Off milk in the car, Oh yes, been there and done the clean up. Truly disgusting smell isn't it?
My younger boy's car - the Astra estate - is his work car (he's a commercial sign writer specializing in vehicle wraps amongst other stuff). In and out of commercial premises every day. I've never known someone pick up so many punctures. He does the signs for his local garage and they let him use the air line for free so he now only gets punctures repaired if they need pumped up more than twice a week!
Talking about embarrassing interiors I'm afraid my older boy's wife takes the biscuit. She's a journalist and on occasion, when a big story is breaking, might live in the car for a couple of days. Between the dropped kiddy food in the back and the odd bit of uneaten hamburger/donut/etc hiding under the seats (sometimes not even hiding) it can be pretty disgusting at times. It's one of those cars which you always check out the seat before you get in! Shame, because it's actually the newest car in the "family fleet" - still in warranty even.
This is the same as our C3, it's not even rolled over 10k miles yet and was 2 years old in October. She buys new cars cos she hates keeping on top of old cars, its not a status thing, just wants something that'll start everyday without any care or work other than servicing and that if it does break gets mended free.
A while ago I had a plan we would share cars properly, so I'd use the smaller much more fuel efficient car to commute in the week leaving her with the larger car for child duties and we swap back over at the weekends when I've got the baby and she's at work.
But every time I sit in her car I'm very much of the thought "how can anyone live like this?"

Use a bottle of Puncture Safe. Pull out the nails and carry on. I had a hole caused by an M6 bolt, but its sealed up fine. Even if it had got worse, the goo slows the rate of deflation giving more time to stop before its too late.

Continuing the smells in cars theme.
Once had to remove the complete curved dash of a Morris Marina to extract a dead mouse from the top of the heater box. Owner was a vet. "Occupational hazard" in his opinion.
A lady bought a new Metro and returned a fortnight later with a horrid smell inside.
Under the passenger seat was abag of liver form the local supermarket, thankfully dated after she took delivery of the car.
"But I don't like liver, I never buy it" she said. Then remembered she'd met a neighbour at the shop, and given her a lift home. Neighbour had put her shopping behind the passenger seat. Presumably later when she'd not been able to find the liver she'd bought, she assumed she'd left it at the shop.

Further on the Puncture Safe. I took the tyre to my local tyre dealers for a repair. The technician said I really need not have bothered and wasn't at all fussed about any mess. He said its a myth that in-tyre sealants are disliked by his trade.

As I am sure most people have experienced the number of punctures that you think are repairable often get the feedback from the experts that the only solution is a new tyre, and as luck would have it we just happen to have some here!!!! Years ago if I had a nail in my tyre I’d pull it out and put a screw in its place, something like an 8 x 1”, screws never leaked air. Now back in those days sometimes I never had the money to instantly repair / replace the tyre and I’d had some where the head wore off and it never got replaced. Today I still have a couple of screws in the just in case box and a 12v compressor. I’m not advocating it as a repair but it’s a get out of jail card, and if it is repairable it will be whether you have a screw or nail in the hole.

Motorbikes gat far more rear punctures because the wheel is close enough to catch flying debris. Going to in-tyre sealants saved me a fortune and there is nothing more dangerous than a bike with a rapidly deflating tyre at any end.
Ive been lucky with car tyres so far they seem less prone to trouble.

A fundamental part of democracy is ‘losers consent’. The finger often points at those who vote for these outcomes, but I find it’s the ones who aren’t willing to accept the majority that are dividing, insulting and stalling progress.
Democracy isn’t perfect, but it’s the best system we’ve got and all things considered, where we are today is remarkable compared to even a hundred years ago.
it isnt democracy when a referendum is won on lies, and instead of having another that boris knew he would either lose or win then mess it up and lose the next general. he had to combine hardcore leave votes with hardcore tory voters in a general election and use the billionaire controlled media to turn the easily brain washed over to his side.
so now we have another 5 years of the same excuses of the last nine, more staving homeless children and no NHS and no eu to stop him.
British public are so easily fooled the rest of the world are rolling on the floor laughing.
oh and i din't vote remain as i did not think anyone would be stupid enough to exit with a deal that didn't include free trade and free movement

It has been a shocking campaign from the media to discredit the Labour Party - not a day went by without stories of anti-Semitism or sympathising with terrorists.
Very little was said about Corbyn being instrumental in negotiating cease fires and peace deals. And nobody of any standing corrected the anti-Semitism claims as actually being a protest against the Israeli government violent military expansionism or oppression of the indigenous Arab population in the area.
Sadly, the above, combined with 'get Brexit done' has swung the votes of many working class voters who really should look back at history before voting for a party to continue to kick them firmly in the nether regions at every opportunity. When interviewing ex-miners who have said 'my father would turn in his grave' - you know that they've been terribly manipulated by the right leaning media in the UK.
On the other hand, as a life-long Labour supporter (who experienced first hand the devastation caused by Tory privatisation) I found it really difficult to vote for a party being fronted by Corbyn. He really would have been a dreadful PM, hopefully his replacement will be closer to Blair than Marx.

Well mate If you’re that delusional there’s nothing I can do to convince you otherwise. But pointing the finger at your fellow UK population is how dividing nations and hatred happens. In my opinion, best to observe the rules of democracy and respect what the majority have voted for more than once now. We should be working together not huffing with each other. Don’t take it too personally but also don’t call everybody idiots simply because they think differently.

An Etonian Europhile has persuaded huge swathes of the working class Brexiteers to vote for his party.
They're not going to get the Brexit they thought they were voting for and they're certainly not going to get hospitals, nurses, police officers and all the other lies fed to them by the media during the campaign.

It’s an insult to pretend they didn’t know what they voted for. My ballot box sheet was pretty clear. Leaving the EU. Any way, shape or form is fine by me. We can always get into the fine details over time.

That can mean everything from building a virtual wall around the UK and isolating us from the rest of Europe through to things being pretty much just as they are now, but without any say in the rules we have to follow.
And that's why the whole concept is deeply flawed - nobody is going to get what they wanted from Brexit. Especially as none of those who campaigned for it had any idea what kind of Brexit they were hoping to get!
One thing we do know is that Boris is a Europhile, so we are very likely to end up in the very worst place - a soft Brexit where we adopt most EU policy, but don't have a seat at the table to steer policy decisions.

but we cant though when its done its done and any changes will be very heard to get.
all over the last couple of weeks they have been showing old clips where high profile leave campaigners always said how good a deal we would get. they even had 1 of farage saying it will be like the Norway deal. so no it never was a simple yes or no and the paper should have had more choices on it now we know it was a double cross.
