What's made you grumpy today?

It’s fine to not agree, but claiming everyone who doesn’t agree is ‘brainwashed’ is again part of that problem of dividing the population by trying to claim the side that opposes yours are ‘idiots’ when really, they’re just oriented differently. And in this case, the majority ...

Boris himself said the working class are idiots, but they still voted for him.

I love fiats and i hate german cars but i have 2 germans, a viano as my daily and a sprinter for when i need more room both autos. fiat make the size but not with reliable auto gearbox, i could get fiats and put up with gearbox breaking but that would be like voting for boris just for brexit when it will also make so many suffer and break the country.

When did he say that, source?

Nice analogy but I’m not sure it works...

Just been watching the news.

Two observations from me. Burnley. They voted in a Tory MP. That is truly astonishing.

Then they interviewed 2 new Tory voters. They lived in a bedsit in a run down terrace. They have zero hour contract jobs. They believe Boris will improve their lives.

There was a real campaign of lies conducted by the Tories - one of the biggest being 'Labour will increase income tax to 50%' - no caveat, just 'increase to 50%'. That's going to scare anyone who doesn't understand taxation.

Oh, and the scaremongering of inheritance tax - 'you won't be able to pass on your house to your children as inheritance tax will be capped at £325,000'. In most parts of the North / Wales / Scotland, you're never going to amass £325k to pass on anyway!

it would be taken in "Alzheimer's tax" before then anyway to pay for your care under tories.

If you think MPs run this country then you are astoundingly naive. They may make decisions but those ideas and plans are not made by the parties or MPs.
And no im not going to argue any different on here, look and learn for yourselves.
Anyone who believes newspapers or news they see, do research all media is owned by the few, very few, who dictate what you read and see, regardless of what the truth is.
Lol

At this point there's no point in being angry about it.

There's no way Boris is calling an early general election so we've got a conservative majority for 5 years.

I suppose the one thing you could possibly take comfort from that is that when despite his thumping majority things continue to get worse, we don't all get a pet Brexit unicorn, 40 hospitals aren't built, 50,000 new nurses don't happen and they fail to do anything replace most of the police they cut.

Then at that point they can't do what they've done so far and say it's the other guys fault. At that point in a fairy tale they get voted out.

But that's not gonna happen at all...even if they disintegrate the United Kingdom by ignoring the scottish and uniting Ireland within the EU indefinitely. They'll just point at the other guys and say look I know we're islamophobic and racist and the UN have actually run studies into how our policies are creating child poverty but the other guys I hear they once said something nasty about Jews and something about terrorists..no not Saudi other terrorists.

At which point it'll happen again...I will continue to vote but apparently most people are concerned about the rich paying more tax and brexit unicorns then say starvation and the homeless.

Google 'woman sues NHS' and count the number of no win no claims adverts there are. Then count the number of people claiming something. Then ask them to pay more national health insurance.

No institution can stand constant negative press without lasting damage. It should not be socially acceptable to go to A and E with minor ailments as many do, the paper tells them doctors are not available anymore, they are inundated with minor stuff too.

We have a policy of policing by consent. Constantly telling everyone about the lack of policing, and then hyper reporting crime, when overall crime was actually falling, is an invitation, excuse even, for criminals. There is no lack of police on the A11 when something happens, and statistics would show they are saving lives through traffic control, I hope, else that is a hell of a waste.

Money won't solve all of this, it will tinker at the edges, maybe make people feel better for a while, then everyone will complain about no roads instead or stagnent economy.

The footsoldiers of these institutions get on regardless, i have sympathy for them alright.

Got to lose the state will provide idea, and also its someone else's fault idea.

And you don't see that as a bit.... scaremongering? I sure do.

Scare mongering.... true..... who cares anyway.

Almost every GP practice in the country is a private company paid by the government for NHS services, and most hospitals now especially foundation trusts are essentially a private enterprise.

Mean while services and safety are cut so much to the bone nurses in Northern Ireland are striking for the first time ever...

https://www.nursingtimes.net/news/w...o-strike-have-had-enough-says-rcn-12-12-2019/

As a general rule nurse don’t go on strike ever ! So when nurses walk out it must be bad.

But yay brexit

Brexit can help since there’ll not be all of the other members states draining our resources ;-) also, go reply to my last message unless you give up old Andy pal ;-)

Ooooooh you bought into the whole brexit bus bull..... yeah that’s not going to happen.

We’ve already lost/spent an estimated £70Bn on brexit, that’s without what it will cost further. I don’t suspect that will leave much extra for the NHS for many years to come

NHS staff have seen their salaries frozen pretty much since 2010 when the tories took power. This was a long time before brexit. What they did do was blow 10% of the NHS annual budget on the olympics. So when they have spare money they don’t have a good track record of spending it on anything with while.

65,000 EU migrants work in the NHS how well do you think the NHS do if they all went home after brexit considering we are already facing a massive nursing shortage.

If you’re wandering why I’ve not replied to your other nonsense go re-read my previous reply, it was all explained.

Brexit’s happening, more so than ever now ;-)

Don’t worry, you can take as long as you need to articulate the difficult concepts in my last post - deep breaths..

Not knowing basics is why you think Brexit is a good idea.

We have a reciprocal arrangement with the EU.

The NHS can claim back treatment costs..and does. However if the we end the agreement we will save lots of money because elderly expats in Europe will have to cover their own healthcare costs which are 10x what we claim back for treating EU citizens.

So if we end the ability of EU citizens to use our hospitals free, we end the ability of our Citizens to use EU hospitals free. Our citizens abroad cost us far more than European citizens in UK hospitals.

So yeah **** those expats.

That may be the case, get it done tomorrow, brexit all goes well and everything regarding brexit is wonderful.. but what are you then left with, what else have the British people just given BoJo and his Eaton cronies the green light to do?

You could google all this stuff, do some reading and educate you’re self a bit, but you won’t as you proved when you didn’t even do a simple google search for what Dave stated above.

Without bickering, it’s happening ;-) better start moving along with it or you’ll be left behind ...
