Ok we’re still going, ok let me know by way of posting when you have had your last word and we can move on from your childish nonsense.

Andy, you can talk to me personally via Private Message so that you are not ignoring requests from moderators and secondly boring everybody on the forum... But you won’t, you seem to want everybody to see.. RIP Thread

fair isnt the right word when you have 1 of the few we have got left in this thread that have got to take up the work load of them we havent got.

Let’s be honest here, I left the NHS 5 years ago to work for private companies, hence why I get things like private health care, private GP and a very healthy expenses account.

My wife still works in the NHS as a children’s Doctor and I see every day just how hard you things are for her, it is bloody awful and the people who are suffering are not just the staff but also the patients every day, this all started the day the tories walked into Downing Street 9 years ago and now we have another 5 years.

If I see a consultant the invoice says £200 for a 20 min consultation, if I see a physiotherapist then minimum £80 I had a procedure on my back in the summer and this cost thousands of pounds. My company foots the bill for that and I am extremely lucky but if I had gone the NHS route I would have taken over year to get to the point I’m at now, if they took away the NHS people would have to choose between eating, heating or seeing the GP.

I genuinely don’t care about brexit other than being sick of hearing the word but I do care how much damage is being done to the country in other areas. Today nurses are on strike in Northern Ireland and people are not getting their operations, that could be anyone of our loved ones affected and could be someone waiting for an important cancer operation. It’s scary stuff

C'mon fellas we're nearly three pages deep with this now  I know this is the grumpy thread but any danger of drawing a line on it now and letting someone else have a whing :bang:

To be fair I tried to ignore this going on and on ages ago but got multiple messages taunting me to continue replying, still tried putting an end to it but ho hum, I’m now being accused of ignoring you when it looks like you and I posted at the same time ?

Just saw your PM - and appreciated it. Sincerely / not trying to be funny

Labour under Gordon Brown poured A LOT of money into the NHS and for a while there was a difference. BUT he did absolutely nothing about the broken systems within the NHS and that cash soon ran out. Conveniently, that cash boost ran out just as he was leaving office with the banks collapsing around our ears.

The NHS desperately needs root and branch reform. I don't mean yet another civil service reorganisation that just spends the money and later asks for more. However, for an outfit the size of a small country, I'm not even sure it's possible to make such change.

That is my thought process. Some money, certainly, would help, likely on base salaries and support for the front line.
However bigger reform must be considered all the time and is rarely an easy policy to carry without political stability.
We have at least that for 5 years, ignoring B anyway, so agree things need to be changed, and bear in mind it is not so simple as lots of money, truly.
For every public servant who retired at 50 there is a tax on us for their pension. I wish every trade could do that, however professional or physical, most accept it can't be afforded.

Migration to the private sector moves the burden to the stock market, or the enemy to some, especially trade unions.

All of that must be protected, its a difficult balance.

So, this arrived today.

A debt recovery company trying to scare me into paying a parking charge.

Just a couple of things here.

1. it's over 4.5 years ago
2. that car went back to Alphabet Leasing 3.5 years ago
3. I was there on company business, as they have one of our filling stations on site
4. I wasn't actually parked on their land. This is where it will become very interesting!

Point taken, but people like that get far too much airtime with their politics of hate - and I thought you were trying to stop that kind of debate being opened up on here?

Nope, not at all. Everyone's entitled to talk or debate about a political point of view and we'll never tell anyone they can't talk politics on here as that goes against free speech. It just has to be done respectfully without bad language or name calling which unfourtunatly tends to be inevitable given how sensitive the political atmosphere is at the moment.

From a personal point of view it boggles my mind why anyone would want to start a subject on politics as there is ALWAYS someone who will disagree with whatever point your trying to get across and 99.9% of the time you'll never change anyone's mind on the subject which begs the question why start the subject in the first place as it usually ends in a slanging match (unless of course that's what people are after in which case people need to get a grip!) but that's just my feelings on it

Where is the line drawn?

AfD are a Neo-Fascist organisation, as are many of their associates.

They are banned from attending Holocaust remembrance services due to their hateful views. That speaks volumes.

Are you going to allow posts of Britain First videos, too?

AfD have no place on this forum, regardless of your political stance.

I know nothing about so called neo-facist European political parties or thier views and I'll make this point to you now that I will not be drawn into any sort of discussion on the matter as I will literally be walking in a minefield as I'm sure you'll appeciate that not everyone - including mods - are as passionate about politics as you may be and simply just don't have the knowledge on the subject so my suggestion to everyone is that if you see something that you disagree with then hit he report button where upon you'll be presented with a box to write why you think a certain post should be removed and we WILL look into it. :)
