What's made you grumpy today?

Sorry Andy for a while I thought you were just another troll but you seem to get a kick out of singling me out and trying to get a reaction. Seriously almost every single one of my posts on this forum the only person who critiques them with any level of enthusiasm and regularity is you.

All this virtual pig tail pulling and "negging" may well have worked for you in the past and I wish you every success with it in the future but as much of a compliment I'm sure your attention is supposed to be; I'm straight. No interested.

Let's just leave it there shall we.

All I heard was "blah blah blah"

Doesn't really matter what title you want to bestow upon yourself after watching too much Sherlock, the fact of the matter is the rest of the forum doesn't have a plethora of potential would be vandals trying to puncture their tyres every 5 minutes, nor do they make enemies out of that bloke they once went faster than.

You don't have to be nice to everyone you meet but the implications of what you're saying is you go out of your way to upset people, so you have to expect some sort of fall out from that.

Enough now :nono:

Liquid Knight I get this from AndyRKett too, always amused when I see the quote notification!

He doesn't like my anti-VW group bashing and likes to remind me of how bad Fiat is!

I wondered why he came on here regularly if he disliked Fiat so much.. but he's definitely not a stupid person or an idiot so I guess he doesn't fit in with the VW enthusiasts ;)

and me so i just dont bother coming on so much he is another maxi, will get rid of loads of members then disappear,

Hey, don't let it put you off.

We're on here because we're Fiat owners, fans, admirers.. were allowed to express that!

Anyone who opposes is in the minority.

Their opinions are welcome and appreciated as they represent an alternative view, but this is the best Fiat community on the planet. Anti-Fiat views won't be popular.

And that's not to say we can't criticise Fiat when it's due: their customer service, decisions, etc have much to be criticised! Lol

But we're here because we love em and despite most of you being able to afford alternative choices there's still a Fiat on your drive :)

You can see things have been posted but not the content.

I guess this is the last time many of you will hear from me.

Personally I think it should be the other way around (could well be I have no way of knowing) and there should be a "Block list" so you can stop people seeing your posts, adding to your topics and accessing your profile.

Back on topic. What has made me grumpy today is three washing machine failures in one day! :bang:

My sisters packed in this morning so I had to get a replacement, chuck it in the back of the Bravo and install it.

My friends broke down because she overloaded it. I unplugged opened the pump housing to drain the water and manually override the door clasp.

Mum and Dads dumped water everywhere because someone had left a wet wipe in a pocket and it blocked the outlet pipe.

So I'm covered in grey sludge and stink of Lenor and socks. Bleaugh!

Glad I brighten your day.

I can look back and see no vw bashing until I stood up for volkswagen so it certainly works both ways, and fiat are not completely terrible otherwise I wouldn't have owned so many of them*.

naturally late for work, jump in the panda, drive to the end of the street.. car feels strange and pulling to the side.. tyre almost off the rim.. damn puncher..

and thats with a s41t ton of push bike "slime" in each wheel.

somehow i made it to work on time :/ so not all bad i guess. pretty sure its the rim that leaks air as it did it with the old tyre on that same rim. maybe the valve seal.. no rust on it so hmmm..

I own both brands - I'm going to be both popular and unpopular by saying - I like them both. For different reasons... Soon they may both be one company, in any case... www.autoblog.com/amp/2017/03/14/volkswagen-not-ruling-out-fca-merger/

Soapy water in a spray bottle. Spray all over the wheel and look for bubbles ;)

I have a little diy valve replacer thing (clicky) you can use without taking tyre off - takes some strength to get it to work (and some decent lubrication) lol. But it does work - have saved myself a few quid over the years doing this at home rather than taking it to tyre shop for a leaky valve

If VW buys Fiat then I'm off to the Asians or the French!!! The French come close with their styling and the Asians might be a bit more boring but they'll last!
I think I share your sentiment there. I quite like Suzuki and Mazda of the Japanese brands. The others and the Koreans are a bit bland in my opinion - but a lot better than they used to be! As for the French - it would be Renault before anything PSA produces.

Not too much of a fan of the Koreans, but yes, Suzuki definitely are good value and IMO the Asian Fiat lol

Heard mixed things about Renault and PSA but then again I heard bad things about Fiat that means nothing :p

Most of your average Mazdas are basically Fords aren't they?
Not anymore. They have their own engines and I think that they look better than Fords now. I don't dislike Fords - their interiors are a bit hit and miss but they've come a long way from the 'Dagenham Dustbin'. They're just a bit too common on UK roads - still driven by a lot of Brits who think they are a British brand.

I vaguely remember seeing an article about that a while back, and I think if anything, it would be FCA taking over VW. This article said that Fiat is actually twice as profitable as VW.

They bought back controlling interest a few years ago so the current skyactiv cars aren't ford related.

Having said that we've got my 3 and an equivalent mk2 focus in the family and even when the platform share was very much on it was more in the Saab/GM fashion than Skoda/Vw.

So even though both are 1.6 Petrols of 1598cc displacement with the same power output..there's not a single interchangeable part on the engine. The Mazda runs a front strut brace from the factory. Electro hydraulic not plain hydraulic steering. They both have 5 speed manual boxes...which are unique to the make and not interchangeable. I'm sure if you stripped them both to the shell you'd find some commonality but in terms of things you touch and see they only bit that looks shared is the rear suspension set up, but even that's different as it has different spring rates and dampers as well as discs not powah drums. You can't even swap wheels Grande punto corsa style.
