What's made you grumpy today?

Someone in my office took their own life one evening earlier this week. Only 23 - so tragic. Has really made me stop and think about how precious life is :(

Happened at our place a few years a go it's always a sad time. Unfortunately between Christmas and the end of April tends to be the time of year when people make these decisions.

Hope you're ok, this sort of thing can have a profound affect on those around the person even if just a colleague, make sure if you need to, you talk to people.

Lots of people say it's a cowards way out, but it takes an enormous amount of strength and courage to do something like this, and when you really think about how much courage is needed; it gives you a glimpse of just how bad things must have been for them.

GERMAN QUALITY..

got a merc A class in the family..

Multifunction.indicator/wiper stalk failed..at 39 k miles..not great..

Bought an ebay replacement..

Got MOT Garage to fit it..SAME FAULT..

for a 30+ grand car youd expect better..

Or so the hype would advise you.

So are both stalks faulty or is the fault elsewhere?

my 2009 viano has the same stalk i had in my 1990 190E, mercs are really dated and not even solid like they used to be.

i think you are too far from me but i have full star diag kit.

The spring detent ( for hi/lo / flash )headlights has failed in BOTH stalks(n)

thankfully the garage gave got a replacement coming today..as it's a wheel-off the column job in a merc..

wouldn't want to pay that labour TWICE..:bang:

the Ebay seller will be getting a few words:mad:

Came round the blind bend at the end of the road to find a taxi crawling round a horse at walking pace..

You drive for a living perhaps you could think that being on the wrong side of the road 20 yards round a blind bend that's blocked by trees at the bottom of a dip and national limit would be a bad idea..

Screenshot_20170226-161626.jpg

Certainly looks like a totally safe place to be on the wrong side of the road. Fun fact would be one of my school friends ended up writing off a 172 Clio in the trees on the left..though he did attempt to take it at 90 so he probably had that one coming.

Apparently I'm not a fan of other road users..

Fairly sure this happened on my way to work Tuesday was travelling to work van came the other way not slowing down at all for a section of road that had been flooded the night before.

End result was a loud bang but didn't find anything when I got to work. Thought I'd got away with it until today when washing the car.

Just how big is the fuel tank on an early Peugeot 107?
Arrived at filling station. At pump ahead was a Pug 107, lady already had nozzle in filler neck and was squeezing the trigger, so you'd assume something was flowing in.
Normal procedure, apply brake, select neutral, stop engine, keys out, me out, walk around to filler, lift pump nozzle, stick in, fill car, 25 litres, replace nozzle, shut flap, get back into car (ASDA - pay at kiosk whilst in car).
Going nowhere, lady in front is still filling her Pug. I think the boot is full too now.

The incompetence of Student Finance Wales.

They requested various proofs of income, pension payments etc, which I duly provided, so they can assess my daughter's student finance appplication.
They then queried one minor figure - £12 of tax relief, which probably has less effect on the finance calculation than the cost of the postage to prove it.
I sent documentation to back this up, and now they have requested another copy of the P60 which I already sent them last month. :bang:

Had a few quotes to remove it? Parents new place had it in a few places, and certain bits that needed removing weren't that costly in the grand scheme of things luckily.
