microsoft make mice, keyboards, webcams and headsets. these are also products apple makes (bar headsets)
None of which are essential/ compulsory to buy/ run or own a Windows based PC. Nonetheless, the price comparisons between these pieces of Microsoft hardware and Apple hardware is? Aren't you going to show how expensive they are compared to Apple?
i was referring to the ability to run osx on a pc which would make a windows computer more expensive due to its operating system being more expensive than an apple one.
That's a bit like saying running Windows on a new Apple would cost more than running it on a PC, because most new PC's, which spec wise are cheaper than apple equivilents, come with Windows as standard...
Again, where are the price comparisons Carl? And why would a PC owner want/ need to run OSx?
i stand nothing to gain by just aimlessly slagging off microsoft so i wouldnt waste my time.
But you already have...
i dont like microsoft for some very easily proen reasons. windows is unstable, overpriced, insecure and in my personal opinion i find windows to be lacking in functionality in comparison to leopard with which i am a lot more familiar.
Again, the sweeping statements Carl. Windows is "Unstable, overpriced, insecure"? Which is why it's the most popular o/s in the world and the majority of people on the forum use it every day?
Unstable - which is why the PC I'm using now has been running without problems for the last week without a shutdown or being turned off? Doing loads of internet use as well as imaging, word processing, music and media playing and my coursework?
Overpriced - Ultimate/ business versions of new Windows releases maybe, but not so much for the home versions. And the hardware debate is still yet to be resolved with some substantiated examples from you.
Insecure - Which is why my computer, running XP Pro and the basic Windows firewall and NO VIRUS SOFTWARE is still running fine over two years after I built it? I do all my banking/ Ebaying/ Paypal/ Student access online too, and have no problems in these areas?
If you like/ prefer apple then fine, that's your choice, but remove the blinkers and ignore the fanboy talk. Though apples may have some plus points over a pc (just as a pc has many plus points over an apple), to kid yourself with all the myths you've been quoting is to deny what the real facts are. It just makes you look like a prejudiced and a stereotypical example of an ill-informed apple fanboy who simply can't accept that anything other than apple is worth using.
For what it's worth, I've used both apples and PC's. With modern versions, I can see little difference in use in terms of performance or operating systems. The icons are slightly different, some of the procedures are slightly different, but fundamentally they're similar in day to day use. The big difference for me is that I can have a PC that does what I want far cheaper than an apple regarding the software and hardware I use. Plus my pc is functional piece of electronic equipment that sits below the desk rather something designer that I need to convince the world is better than anything else
