What's made you grumpy today?

People who ring the wrong number and instead of apoligising and putting the phone down they just try to get the information that they originally wanted out of you.

"can you give me the rright number for them then please"

"what number have I dialed then"

"can you put me through to them"

:bang:

I like to drag it out and make them feel stupid.

I hang up on retarded people calling up for help. One woman rang this morning and just started listing off things she had tried to fix her PC without even saying hello or anything.

phone went down quicker than missporty on valentines day:)

LMFAO @ the last part

however you could install an evaluation copy until it arrives saving the 'customer' the wait
then the the COA code could be added to the install

We could do with a script in the Computing section setting out how to remove the irritating (but true) message from Microsoft, that I may be a victim of fraud by using a bootleg Windows XP version... it can be done but who's smart enough to set it out in a Dummys Guide? :p

not hard. and neither is tricking the database to allow you to carry on downloading updates. but using a pirate copy and seeling them to people is a different matter. i point blank refuse to pay for anything by micro****e. make the prices more acceptable and i dont mind but otherwise they can get stuffed tbh

anyway why are you not on W7 ultimate?

 Bear with you Custardy bloke...? ;)

I might try it, just fed up of playing Cat & Mouse with MS & being suspicious of every single Update they push out lol!

Apple Snow Leopard upgrade price - £25.00 or £39.00 for the family pack (3 licenses) (MSRP) (link)
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade - £200.00 (MSRP) (link)

Some Apple things aren't cheap, but on the other hand some are, and look good value compared to Microsoft. The real difference is in the work environment, where Microsoft like to really bump up the prices...

Yeah but Snow leopard deletes everything so its not very helpful really.

And yeah compare the most likely upgrade of windows 7 being the Premium home edition which is £80 not the ultimate one.

That is actually in really rare cases. And tbh, you are an idiot and deserve to lose your data if you don't clean install on any system tbh!

And yes I do realise you are just on the windup to mac fanboys :p
