General What have you done for her/him recently?

I have a compressor, and a spray gun(for paint) so might give it a try with some left over waxoyl from the grandparent's 2cv resto. just worried about clogging gun up after finished because it's so thick

It's not that thick, but compared to how thin and "mist like" paint comes out, its like custard!

It's ok, I'm going stupid. Just imagined some of the 'custard' we have at college in the kitchen I work in, and it being 'sprayed'

gearbox oil changed, finally (been at least 5 years) Sender in for new oil pressure gauge, although still to connect it all up. And that's one sill re stonechipped for winter and the other one mostly scraped clear of all the old cracked stuff ready to re do tomorrow.

ta, yes much neater than before, the stuff that was on before was really badly cracked up but frankly it's done well, haven't touched these sills for 6 years and they are still solid underneath. the old stuff has been a nightmare to get off too, about 1/4 of an inch thick and still real sticky
the stuff I've used today is this:

is it any good?? well never tried it before so ask me in about March if it's still good after a hard winters work.

right, other sill done and rust tidied up, top half of tailgate now satin black again (was before but wearing off) just trying to figure out what badges to put on the tailgate now.

Some of the older 4x4s used to have panda pressed in the tailgate. perhaps a green decal the same as the green side strip with the outline of "panda"

half black tailgate is homage to the mighty Y10 which used to have matt black tailgates on most models. (Also saves trying to get an exact colour match as the tailgate is a replacement off my old grey tacc.)
green decal is a nice idea but I've got this little box of assorted badges in the garage already so I've just been standing in the drive with all of them and a few bits of blu tac trying to figure out what looks decent and also hides the dodgy bits due to my limited filler skills
