General What have you done for her/him recently?

On holiday with my boys this week, so was able to have a morning doing jobs on the princess. Managed to take off and replace my shocks (thanks Jangcy) and also fit my new mudflaps.

Piccies below, I am well chuffed with the end result - I love my new red shock absorber too!(y)

Looking very  (y)

I'm just loving the look of those mudflaps Jon, promised myself a set ages ago - I think they look fab!

By the way, I know a lot of people on here are very technically minded - I also know that a lot of people on here are very interested but a little nervous to try stuff. I just wanted to say that I am one of those not so gifted people in the mechanics department but I have recently replaced my brake discs / pads and have now changed my rear shocks too. I have saved myself a fair amount of labour costs on those 2 jobs so I am well chuffed! Total cost for both jobs was £44.50 for parts. I love Pandas!!!:slayer:

I too, being a young'un, am quite new to mechanics, but the panda's a piece of cake to work on.

They do throw up problems along the way, but thats the way it is.

New rad should arrive tomorrow. Hoping its dry so i can get the old one out(fann too) and replace both.

We only changed the fluids on Saturday too, annoying having to drain the whole thing again:bang: Will reuse(after filtering) what is drained out. Expensive stuff antifreeze!

Ooooooooooooo.......looking good with the red shocks..(y)

Quick flash over with a red rattle can would to the trick i think martin

ATM old rad and fan is all out, suprising how much room it takes up in the engine bay.

Awaiting TNT to arrive with the new one now!!

EDIT; just delivered... but the fan was missing:( Ricambio are hunting for a surplus one. damn annoyed!

Sounding good blurredman - this was quite a tidy Marbella from memory? Not sure where you could get stickers from (perhaps try eBay Spain?) but look forward to seeing end result.

Thank you my friend and i have managed to find a few suppliers on uk ebay for general Seat decals. However no one does The Marbella decal not even in ebay espanol. But its funny to leave it off and keep the rich people wondering what make it is. Damn counter Urbanisation. This town has turned to nothing but pure ignorance:mad: [end of rant]

Is there a Seat forum similar to this one, where you could ask around? It won't be as good or as friendly as this forum, OBVIOUSLY :D

If you can find a picture of them, the right size. I'm sure a print shop would make them up, most do car graphics

pulled top off fuel tank, drained it, mopped out gunk from bottom, replaced fuel filter, unblocked stupid idle jet again, took grumbleweed for a run. So far no misbehaviour.
here's hoping.
Andrew.

After waitin nearly 6weeks for lowering springs finally arrived and im not goin to try fit them havent tools or time so they are bnib if any one is interested give me a shout! Tom(y)

im gettin rid of panda soon too though, getting problems one after another only minor since headgasket went but got rust in boot+driver door and quite difficult to get into 5th. its been a great little car but not getting much money atm soo can not afford anything major to go wrong with it:(

Replaced & fixed connections for tail-lights, took gearbox out, messed around with it, replaced gearbox, 5th gear now works smoothly :D, new spare tyre, emptied & replaced air filter, replaced oil (finally :bang:), good polish, then tipped it down with rain.

Good day I think (y)

Bought the panda fire not this saturday but saturday before.. already has a 12cd multichanger, 2 new alpine speakers - everything wired by myself through the vehicle. I'm doing a project this week to make my own interior panels with strawberry material - excited ^_^
