Hey Andrew....sounds like your not going to be able to stop!!...dont forget a bar of soap, warm water massage into carpet with fingers...hey presto like new...Heike will be offering a mobile green carpet cleaning service soon!!

Good to see things are going well under the bonnet...(y)

Not so good here...after Bianca stopped at the end of the road the other day new HT leads, points and condenser were fitted yesterday as points were shagged...Yippee..big fat sparks!!!!....but still not starting??? Hmmm...timing maybe???

Went out just a min ago to check....thought check fuel while i'm here as could not smell any. (was pumping through when brokedown) and no fuel being pumped through now!!!! Oh the joys of Panda ownership :bang:
But we all know its worth it..:D

Following lots of mouthfuls of petrol....suck..suck...suck...plahhh..Bianca is now running...hip hip hooray...went out for a drive and my next comment was "where have the brakes gone???"....."Oh been like that for awhile"...

Yep...you guessed...next job brakes!!!

You'll need to get her running right to drive up here with that mobile cleaning service, just get back to me with a quote eh;)
interior spruce up is going well anyway, so far I've...sat down in front of the computer with a cup of coffee. It'll pick up later I'm sure:eek:

In the last week Sparky's had a new nearside hub carrier and track rod end, discs and pads all round on the front and finally fitted a set of UT 5 1/2J Speedline alloys. Today I fitted a cinq' steering wheel and tomorrow I'm gonna fit a new off side suspension wishbone, a new cam cover gasket (if I can get it from the local sources) and possibly bleed the brakes... Oh yeah, I might clean out all the gack from the engine bay caused by the leaky cam cover gasket!!

Wish me luck!! ;)

Luke.

Removed earthing hedgehogs off of the inner wings on my Sisley yesterday and cleaned them up, also changed all female connectors on the wires. Were all in a flippin awful state.

No wonder Headlamp switch lasted days, replacement heavy duty halfords switch lasted about 6 months, then the plastic spade connector insulator thing on the end of the wire into the switch started to smoke when sitting at traffic

Thought it was about time that job I kept putting off was done.

So hopfully thats sorted it.

If the Wiring dosen't over heat in the next week or two when the lights are on I might even put a replacement origional switch back in. :slayer:

Jon.

Talking of Sisley jobs...Been putting the rest of Sid together today as the girlfriend of my mate where Sid is has been kicking off about him!!!!

So time to get it shifted...Bolted all the bits on to get him rolling.
Still stuff to do (Brakes, gear linkage etc)..Problem is the more i look at him i keep thinking "While i'm here i will replace that thing, save me doing it later."
This could be never ending!!!!!!!...

Got Manda back from the lock up that she has been living in for the past 3 weeks. As we have had courgie home and got her mot done and thought we would use her a bit. Manda is looking very dusty but that will be sorted tomorrow.

After pumping her rear tyre up she roared into life. (first turn of the key) (y)

So if all goes well with the weather she will get a good clean tomorrow and then the rear brakes sorted some point this week. :D

Manda rocks!!!:slayer:

I took mine out for a good blasting today. Thrashed her down the A31 and even over took a new M5! the look on the blokes face was pricely, but he soon showed of his money and power by blasting past me and over the horizon.

the outcome was not what i would have liked. between the readings of 45-80 on the clock, she was shaking horribly, then past the 80 mark i think i managed to "drive through" the probelm. I had problems before form 65+ witht he old wheels, but more with the new Cinq alloys. I have had them balanced. All be it by a polish man with a dull look on his face when he was told what to do. i think there could be a possible buckle/kink in one of the wheels. so i might end up forking out to have them checked and, if possible trued up or replaced. which would be much to my disgust considering i've spent about £100 on them already.

Oh and i fixed my rad yesterday too:)

Yeah i'm not sure where to take it, my two local garages are annoying, my frequent one, is the one that has aparently balanced them fine, the other wont do anywork for me because the tyres protrude the arches. whcih is fair enough i geuss.

I've been looking for some 14" rims, because the 13" with low pro change the gearing, and when you get over 60 it reads about 10mph ahead of what the satnav says. Jai, the uno mod recently picke dup some 14", crome (i think) wheels which are almost identical to UT wheels, i guess something like that with low profile rubber could resolve the issue. means money though... which i'm in short supply of.

The wheels Jai has are 1980's Croma wheels in 14". The same style of wheels were also available with series 2 Strada Abarth 130TC's, though I've no idea if the offset is the same. Jai had them diamond cut and black powder coated and they are indeed absolutely gorgeous :yum:

As to your balance problem, have you had the tyres themselves checked? I had some wheels balanced last year and even though they balanced fine on the machine they were still vibrating and tracking badly on the road. Turned out that one of the tyres was deformed, so changing that sorted out the worst of the problem (y)
