This is the garage in Greenwich that services the old girl. The guy who does the work is great and likes the odd ball fleet :D

If anyone needs a good garage in Greenwich then . . . . . .

Got our linked through to the main beam circuit with a relay.

Much easier and needs to be like that for MOT if driving lamps and not fogs iirc.

Many sure its driving lamps you buy and not foglamps. Will confirm on the box, but different lenses are used which will make fog lamps pants.

What with the switch is it your worried about? Over loading it

Jon.

Got ringline driving lamps.

no jst how to swittch them on. Just spent last hour drawing out wiring diagram for front lighting units. think i sussed it.

When main beam on or ful beam on, they on if i have seperate switch shut. if i have seperate switch open full and main work fine. Just never wired a realy before. and not sure what amp fuse to use. 30A i think?

Why not get wires from the spots and use a screwdriver to force them into the wire slots for beam lights? haha!! That's what I did on my old fiesta when I was 17! :p

15 Amp fuse (y) (what I've used on the Sisley, 15 for the grille, and two 15's for the two sets of two I had on the roof bar)

Relay is easy to wire (y)

4 prongs.
  • One is 'signal'. (live from current main beam wire)
  • One is relay earth.
  • One is power direct from battery in
  • Last is Power out to lights (y)
So you trying to wire it so that they are only even on with main beam, and you then have a switch so they are turned off compleatly so you can have just origional headlamps mainbeams without the grille

Cheers Jon. How i drew the circuit anyway which is good.

Yeah. have a choice of on with lights, or off. or just original lights.

Hoping its easy to disconnect the lamps from wires so i can swap the grilles over from time to time... summer and winter ones

Just got back from a trip to East Grinstead, to see 'the others'.

Big thanks to Kev (Purple Haze) for a heater matrix. We now have a super hot Panda :D for the summer

The old one was blocked some how and the water was not getting through. Bit of a mission dismantling what seemed like half the engine and dash - but well worth it ! Loads of oliy dirty hands afterwards, especially Kev's :yuck:

Anyway, thanks again Kev :worship: :worship: :worship:

Ahh so it was a dodgy matrix. I remember trying to sort it and bleed the system for you this time last year. lol.

And yes, the ventilation boxes take up alot of space under the bonnet (and in my shed where I've got 3 ).

The only thing that didn't work after putting manda back together was the bulb that lights up the heater controls. Think the bulb has gone.

What would i prefer......heater or heater contols that light up....heater every time. So all in all she is getting there.

This year so far she has had
1. new exhaust.
2. rear shoes and cable adjustment plus mot
3. new HU (stereo)
4. a working heater matrix.
5. and a set of posh mats £30

Not bad really as we have not spent much on her since we got her. :D

Cool. We can always have a look at the dash light come Panda camp. lol.

Probably end up doing it before hand but not really bothered if it works or not mate. . . . . . We have a heater and its better than winning the lottery to us anyway. We was sick of the whole frozen toe thing.

The panda camp is a excuse to have a bit of a p*** up and sure you dont want to be doing things to panda's lol.

Feel free to donate a bulb though fella. By any chance amongst ya sheds full of bits you don't happen to have a rear parcel shelf do ya Jon?????

Cheers

Put the relay in the engine bay, got some wires done... just need to wait for the grille to arrive really.

Jon, How do yours turn on... Im thinking of joing the input wire to the output of the full beam relay. Have you got an inline switch?

This is harder than i thought :(

Mine are wired into the mainbeam direct through a relay. So the Signal wire to switch the relay is activated/connected to the main beam wire to the bulb.

So no extra switchs or anything.

Unfortunatly not. Need one for the Sisley also as it's falling to bits

Would have said you could have had the mint one that was in dad's Selecta when it gets returned, but even that managed to get distroyed on the smash :(
