I did an oil and filter change on our 2014 TwinAir Trekking last week (using all fiat parts) and whilst I was under the car noticed the centre section of the exhaust is quite rusty and the hangers on the pipe are very corroded. Looks like it will need to be replaced this year. I know from our sons 500TA that it was fiat only and I guess it is the same for the panda? ££££££ Looking online there seems to be a Japanese company Tezzo showing pictures of a 4x4 with a stainless system but doesn't look like it's available here. Do we get one made, we plan to keep the panda a long while, or are there any other options people have used?

It's very easy to get an exhaust custom made in stainless and they are better value than you'd expect. Longlife Exhausts are one such example and I've used them to build a system for my previous 169 model 4x4 which I modified slightly. Made to measure by a place in Basingstoke in a morning (in this case from the supplied 4-1 manifold right back through to the rear box, including new CAT) and of a very high quality too. Better than buying a pattern replacement exhaust in my view, as the latter can be of very variable quality (a custom build will be designed to work properly), and probably not much more expensive than an OEM part from a stealer.

This what I plan in the long term for my 2018 Cross TA.

A few years ago I had the exhaust system on my Alfa Mito MA 1.4 replaced by Motormech - an Alfa/Fiat specialist in Birmingham. It cost me £300 for a cat back system tuned for a pleasant exhaust note (they will ask you what you would like) all stainless steel and guaranteed for life, even if you sell the car it is transferable and various suppliers will honour the warranty I think the system manufacturer is called Roar power. It was a lovely system. I will probably go back there in time.
