Having got the new turbo assembly fitted i was slightly nervous of wether the car would live up to my expectations.
When i drove it home from purchase i think it haf about 25hp..it was so slow to be dangerous
Now fixed...it was a nippy little thing.
Thought I'd try super unleaded... well that's money well spent.
It's now has a great flexible powerband.. definitely runs smoother and with more oomph.
Does anyone else run their TA on super juice?

Yes all the time. Mpg and power are much better than on e10

Yep, posh petrol every time. And I used to be a sceptic. The TA really benefits from it, both in performance and MPG. I read an article a year or so ago that said small turbo engines tend to benefit disproportionately.

likely the ecu senses the higher octane via the knock sensor and advances the ignition timing to suit.

Definitely - improved mpg pays for the price premium and so much smoother.
