Technical Twin Air Engine Light/Error Code Multiecuscan

Our leggy (121k) 4x4 Twin Air has had a tank of fuel’s worth of use since we got it. The odd run, and latterly taking my learner Son out for driving practice on a handful of occasions. It’s early days so lots of stalling and restarting the engine.

Today I noticed the engine warning light came on the dash. Car still appears to be running OK. I connected Multiecuscan. I initially got “ECU code 32 83 5B 8A EF”. I tried to connect to the engine- tried all 5 options of the 0.9 TA but none would connect. Battery was a bit low (12.3v) so I’ve stuck that on charge.

Any suggestions on:

a) how to get Multiecuscan to connect to the engine?
b) what the 32 83 5B 8A EF code means
c) Any other investigations I should do?

Thanks!
use the yellow adapter.
