Tuning turbo time!

i'm a chef, and at work we have aluminum pans which are quite thin but we also use a lot of thick based stainless pans. they're not cheap, but they do work very well.

with regards to boost pipes, this is how i see it; the engine bay temp is going to be higher than the charge temp. if you have conductive pipes, you are going to get heat from the bay into the pipes - not the other way round. so you want pipes that don't conduct well. if you want to cool the charge, use an intercooler for that - it's what it's for, and it'll do a good job

so basicaly the best boost pipe work will be plastic or silicon :p

got my exhaust done! its perfect. and VERY quiet. there is no noise inside the car what so ever :D
out side it is deep but not noticeable (the sound would not draw attention.) and no rasp or rattle at all :slayer:
i put a sock over my dump valve to take the edge off it.
the car feels much smoother.(y)
get a photo tomorrow... its to dark now

sounds really nice (y)
mine is quieter still and it is restrictive though,

iv got middle and back box
systems 2" up untill back box where it reduces to 1-3/4 inch which keeps it quiet
thinking about having a screemer pipe though:D would be funny

have you seen how much the silicone expands tho... its fack all really but maybe a bit at high boost. I never got the induction stuff done today as the bloke never had time. he started at 10. finished at 6! he did a really good job tho. even welded plate onto the downpipe so i can weld onto that to bolt onto the block. even he reckons the turbo needs more support

true... i added that above before you posted :D.
but again like i said before about conductive metals. the induction parts are SOOO short on the cento i bet that even going from a super cheap pipe setup to a ultra expensive set up. you would not pick up anything... weather would have more effect then what can change along a foot length of pipe

dont know if with using the bigger turbo will make it louder "i think" it might
got to work out where to sit new blower and manifold design now
