Re: Fool...

I don't think he deserves a slap - in fact I think he should be prime minister. And he's definately too fat to be the stig.

I don't agree with at least half of what Clarkson says but he'd speak his mind and get things done (including more/better roads) - definately no more beaurocrats.

I bought my car in Glasgow, but I don't really fancy that trek again, especially knowing I'd have to drive all the way back again, at least last time I took a plane one way.

I don't mind the drive back home, it only takes 6 1/2 hours with the new M6 toll road, its always dead with no cameras for 27 miles of bliss! :D

Flying is good (I work in aviation) and i'll do that if I go home for a weekend, but for 10days I need a car as Glasgows to big to get about in without one.

I do wish they had normal cars on the show. Mind you Clarkson can do what he likes because they know the show is nothing without him!

A few guys from that I know with integrale's met Mike Brewer in Portsmouth about 6 months ago, you know the guy who did Driven and 4 Car on Channel 4 & Wreaks to Riches?? on ITV. He has been approached by the BBC 3 times & been interviewed by them on each occasion & been given three job offers for Top Gear, but there is a clause in the contract stating that you can't show up JC & he gets all the best gags, hes the star of the show etc etc & its also rumoured that he gets a million a series!!!!!!

Mike Brewer has also done three series on Home & Leisure, although one of those was a house slef build show.

There are loads of car shows which do alright without Clarkson, so I'm sure Top Gear would survive if he wasn't there.
