wasnt so great in the Rover, it had the power but none of the handling. got it the other way about now with the brava, got the handling but not the power

The traction control on the Stilo is far more progressive than on my wife's Astra SRi. In the Stilo, the power goes down smoothly even though the light comes on, allowing for quick pull offs. With the Astra, power is simply cut, leaving you bogged down and looking silly!

One thing about the cold, the heater does not warm your feet well :-(

Have a good Xmas & new year,

Yep, Manual mode and booting it is great fun - at some point, you are thinking when will it ever end, but up it does change, and onwards it goes. Although can't recall hitting 70 in 2nd though - maybe just a bit under.

You ought to hear the sound with the CDA on; can't beat it......
Your right about thinking its never gonna end, I was a bit unsure if the thing was gonna change for me, and I almost bottled it :) ...Thats when I glanced down at the speedo, thinking what the hells goin on, and saw it around 70, and then it changed so I can't be certain how close to 70 it was, as I was on a very small road, and i couldn't afford to look away from the road for anything but half a second. I will try it on a road that has a better field of vision next time. If it was on the 70 mark, maybe its something to do with the powerflow exhaust or a change in the gearbox for the 04 models ?
What difference does the CDA make to the sound then Stu, More throaty ?
I know the exhaust has made a big difference to mine, there's a really strong, how could i describe it, well, its like you can feel the noise if you know what i mean ?
p.s im on Goodyear Eagle F1's and I really can't fault them for grip, they are outstanding.
