Going back to the original topic, I love the look of the wheels and the tinted rear lights.
Have you thought about red mirror cases?
Simon

What do they add... 10bhp?
Sorry Gary, pet hate of mine!
I just went for the Abarth look as i like it
But my other car is the fastest production car Fiat ever made and doesn't have any Abarth badges on it, yet it leaves all Abarth Fiats way behind
Speed limits are an annoyance of mine. Not because I want to speed everywhere, but because it takes some of the skill out of driving.
To drive a car you should be capable of assessing the risks and drive accordingly. A 60mph road does not mean you will be able to do 60mph all the way along it. There may be corners, junctions, villiages etc that you should slow down for. It's a shame the law doesn't reflect this. As long as you're under the posted limit you're safe.![]()
I saw a wonderful example a few months ago. A local boy racer had decided to get fancy rally seats fitted to his saxo. The quote he got for welding the frames to the floor was a bit too much for him to pay so he tied the seat in place with string. He just punched a few holes in the floor pan, threaded the string through and kept the rain out with bathroom sealer. The first time he saw a police car he braked hard - force of habit I suspect as he has been stopped before - the string parted on the sharp edge (no grommets) and he hit the windscreen with his face.but, sadly, there are a great many people out there who are incapable of assessing danger.
Holy thread resurrection Batman!!!!

I've spent 10 years on internet car forums [including being a moderator/club admin] and most 'debates' would be far more friendly if they were conducted in the pub over a drink. Perhaps the keyboard takes away the author's personality and tone, which then leads to people taking offence unintentionally?
As far as average speed cameras go, I can foresee the day when they are on every main route, whether there are roadworks or not. At the beginning, everyone had the freedom to obey the law with self-control. Some didn't, so Traffic Police were necessary. After that, speed cameras were introduced and as a normal Gatso is largely ineffective, more sophisticated devices have been employed. Cars with GPS-controlled speed have already been trialled but I would imagine that average speed cameras are cheaper and the technology is already in use.
For my closing line [and to bring the thread back on-topic], the car looks brilliant!![]()
