Yes lots of variables…I doubt many use theirs for livestock feeds, hay n straw bales, sheep carriage, fence posts etc etc…that’s the 2005 one which hasn’t been on the road for, I think, 5yrs…and was relegated to farm work after we’d had the 2009 cross two or more years, so it’s had a hard life and very little has ever gone wrong, it’s still on its original clutch!
 
What I noticed with my new (cheap) shocks which have solid bushes both ends -
(1) No more thump immediately after bumps especially speed bumps
(2) No clicking (though I was never sure if the old shocks clicked
(3) No increase in road noise or (normal) bump thump
(4) Wheel bearing whine unchanged (still no sure which side it is)
(5) Firmer feel to the back end. It's OK but I quite liked the softer back end feel.​
