General Stuck wing mirror

Hi I have a Fiat Panda 2006. I've owned this car for 6 months and I haven't been able to fully extend the passenger wing mirror. It seems to be stuck but not glued. We have oiled it but still no luck. Any ideas please?

Do you mean the outer casing of the door mirror will not rotate freely ?

Have you popped out the lens and looked at the pivot ??

or

the whole assemble has been folded in for parking

No it's rigid and won't move

It's usable. Not completely folded in but it won't open fully.

We removed the wing mirror completely.

I never had problems with my 169 panda mirrors..

Other modern mirrors have a metal spindle and a strong coil spring

yep

they do that if you leave them not extended for too long.

I parked the car next to a wall for a few weeks and it got pushed round a bit as I shuffled passed.


luckily I was just about able to push it back without breaking it but it was stiff.

Seem to remember pushing it further in First once it started moving it was okay again.

I thing I would try some hot water while its fixed onto the car and a bit of wiggling
