Mirror was broken on passenger side when parked. A miracle it hasn’t happened earlier but wondering if there is a replacement that can be moved in and out of the way a little? Have seen replacements but think they are all a rigid type which invites the accident or whatever being repeated. Thanks in anticipation for any advice. Best wishes.

Personally I would stick with original but grease/oil it so it it folds in easily, some get quite stiff so more prone to damage.

Two things to be aware of...
1. Some "repairs" to broken mirrors stop them from being able to fold, and forcing them will"un-repair" them.
2. Some (possibly most) aftermarket mirrors are for LHD and dont adjust well for RHD use. I have 2 or 3 of the later large mirrors which I have swapped out with original ones for people over the years because they were Left Hand Drive and were almost useless for seeing behind.

Thanks. Will likely seek help as I'm not a great DIY man. Videos online show how to replace it but might still go the garage though imagine he's not had experience of that before either.

I've glued one together for an MOT

I've repaired one on a 500; see this thread for the details. Worked better than new after the repair and has gone the distance.

Fortunately the ones on the Panda 169 are more durable. I give them an occasional squirt with silicone spray, and have folded them regularly for 15+ years now without any problems.

In the OP's position, I'd look for a used OEM one from a breaker, rather than a pattern (and possibly LHD) part. New OEM won't be cheap, and may be hard to find now.

Be aware that the 169 mirror design changed around 2009; the earlier mirrors were smaller, and less useful (though IIRC both will fit). The OP's car, being a 2010, should have the later, larger type.

Thanks for all the help and advice. Much appreciated.
I've found on Amazon .....TVP Trade Vehicle Parts.co.uk compatible with door wing mirror manual black N/S left Panda 2010-12.
Wondering if this would be a replacement I could use for my Fiat Panda 2010?
I won't be fitting it myself but found someone local who knows what to do :) Best wishes to all

The description is correct

On parts from eBay and Amazon I always message first and ask whether it's correct

Then if it comes wrong a return becomes simple

Both large later and smaller earlier mirrors are a direct fit (interchangeable), people has swapped small for large in the past, to keep it simple if yours is a mechanical one replace it with a mechanic one

Cheers. Have done what you suggested so just waiting to check that it's compatible etc. best wishes

A quick search of eBay found 252734636463 for £22.80. The advert say's it's a drivers's side and the pics do look correct. Contact them for details.

Passenger side is 265197007632 for under £25.

If they are what they say, it's worth getting both as the later cars had larger mirrors.
