Technical Strange electrical faults

Fiat Punto Grande just developed a strange fault this morning, and hope someone can help.

Car started ok, but there was a message on the dashboard saying that there was a fault with the airbag.

Also, most of the usual dashboard functions didn't work, ie petrol gauge was down and empty fuel light was on (despite there being fuel), the speed odometer didn't work, indicators didn't work, main lights wouldn't work, trip computer was out, etc.

Any ideas what might be causing these issues?

Random electrical problems:

Fusebox full of water, bad earths

Its all covered there

I have Fiat 500 with electrical fault, lights, radio, other bits come on even though key not in ignition,

Thats a 500 though.. far more likely to be chafed tailgate wiring on a 500
