Afternoon folks,

I’m in the process of swapping some seats between puntos. On my passenger seat the shim/plate the rail bolts into seems to be rotating and so I cannot fully bolt down that corner of the rail.

Any ideas how I can get a replacement and how to fit it?

Front or back?

It’s been a long time since I had seats out of a mk2 but I seem to recall the fronts bolt into a boxed in section and there is no access to the ‘nut’ inside it.

The fronts bolt down into the floor, bot sure if you can access them under the car (but I might be mixing up the grande)

Are you sure it’s not just a case of the threads having stripped out by an old rusty bolt being removed ?

Front passenger seat. There’s a captive shim that the bolt goes into and it’s just spinning. Hopefully I can get access to it underneath without cutting.
Can you get a bit of glue on it (I presume you don’t have a welding plant) a bit of glue might just hold it enough for long enough to get the bolt in and tight enough for friction to take over and stop it spinning ?
