Hi Everyone
I'm new here and already facing some challenges on my Punto mk2. I can not loosen the rear engine mount bolt, the one attached to the sub frame. Even the mechanic at the garage could not loosen it with air tools. I can't use heat. The only option i have is penetrating oil and a breaker bar. Now the problem is that i can't seem to find the right access point to spray the penetrating oil over the bolt threads. When i get under the car i see an opening in the sub frame, to the left of the engine mount, i can spray some oil from there but i don't really now if i'm spraying over the bolt threads. One other thing, i was thinking using a candle flame to heat the bolt. Don't laugh at me, but that's all i got. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think this kind of butane torch will do the job?

The bolt hole is normally 'visible' from the top. On my car if I reach down from the front of the car with my left palm upwards just to the engine side of the steering connection I can feel the raised area of the opening with the backs of my fingers.

Penetrating oil is not likely to penetrate anyway until you can get it moving. But there is a trick to getting a rusted bolt out if the head is good. The bolt itself will twist and will always make a microscopic movement at the rusted end of the nut. So the trick is to be patient and tension the bolt firmly forwards and backwards and really be patient about it.

These bolts are very long. They are normally done up to a massive 120nm. in a difficult to reach space that is a huge amount of leverage you will need unless you can brace your body.

Thank you very much man. you are an angel. I never thought to look from the top. i found the bolt hole, i managed to spray a good amount of wd40 specialist. i will wait till tomorrow and try your method of shaking the bolt back and fourth. Fingers crosssed. thanks again man.
