I have a reliable S reg 899 scei . It's run fine, got thro MOT ok, but has suddenly started to rev/drop revs - a red spark plug type warning light comes on and it is really lumpy.The oil breather pipe was a bit perished and full of gunk and the air filter shows what I think is an oil patch so I've replaced this whole part but it's made no difference. I only do a few miles to work in the car, it barely gets hot, could this be the problem? I'm thinking it might be the stepper motor (had similar prob on cinq and changing motor solved that) or maybe coil pack? (and where is this?) Leads look ok. Also will this new pipe will this gunk up too? And is this likely to damage the engine? Cheeers ; )
