Hey guys,

I have been trying to find a thread on this for a while but to no good end. Has anyone had to recode his remote ? I bought a Fiat Panda recently, second hand from a friend. His remote stopped working a couple of months ago , changed the battery but no luck there. I believe it's just gone out of sync. Does anyone know the steps to recode a Fiat Panda 2006 remote ? (it's the one with key popping out when you press a little silver button)

Thanks,

Nope, noone ? I will try other Fiat model recoding techniques and see if they work tonight. Will let you know if they work.

I had my 2006 panda sporting remote recoaded :D

Cost about 35 at timpsons - they need all keys and car

Make sure you take your spare key too as it needs to be programmed back in when they add the new chip or it will no longer work.

It took some explaining that it was just the code 2 chip I needed as the remote opens the doors and the key turns in the lock.

The bit they programmed was like a lare glass pill that fits in the fob.

They can test the key if the existing chip is giving out a signal - mine was not - there was nothing in my fob lol.

Been OK for a couple of years now - there is a thread.

Fiat dealer should be able to do it for you.

Or you can do it youself, you need the cars immobiliser / security code (obtainable from Fiat dealer) and MultiECUscan.net software (y)

Sounds like immobilizer recoding, not remote. Is this the case?

Fiat system is completely different though, I believe they need the car, and thats IF they're able to do it.

Being a little prickly this evening aren't you?

All I asked was, "were you suggesting bla bla bla."

"Here seems to suggest some doubt?" Both quite gentle observations.

All you needed to do was to say no.

Can't be bothered with you.
