On M40 on Saturday traffic was very light so able to use inside lane for considerable distance until I caught up with a 4x4 sitting in the middle lane travelling at about 60mph. Pulled in to middle lane overtake, but had to allow car coming up in overtaking lane to pass before passing the 4x4.
Just as I was about to change lanes a huge lump of dried mud fell off the underside of said 4x4, and although I was a very comfortable distance away it hit my Panda at ground level with a resounding bang.
On checking for damage I found that the paintwork was ok but the radiator had sustained a small amount of damage to the fins. I reckon I was lucky and am now looking at a way of providing a bit more protection for the rad. than the wide-spaced grill, without compromising cooling efficiency. Any ideas any-one?
