My Elite decided it was "overheating" (even though it couldn't possibly be) so I tried to fix it and couldn't, out of warranty repair would have been crazy money so just bought a 360 arcade and dropped the HDD onto it.

I'm thinking custom case with a few more fans and maybe make the disc drive external for less heat:slayer:
do you know what connections are inside? i think they are SATA?
It's SATA for the data but the power connection is unknown to me, should be easy enough to mod to a Molex or SATA plug though I would have thought. Can take some pics when I get home if you like?

just need to find out what power cables im dealing with then modify the case add a few fans maybe some LED's then we are sorted
