Technical Punto Front subframe

Hi,

Does Punto FL (2003---) front subframe fit in to the 2001 Punto?
They have different part number according to Eper.

Are you talking about the small thing under the radiator or the large one at the back of the engine

The radiator subframe looks like the same thing and i am thinking the engine and suspension is the same too.

Yea he means the Front Subframe, not the Radiator Support Bracket or Radiator Subframe

im lead to believe that all the punto's shared the same subframe - mk2 and mk2b?

I think only the HGT was different on wishbones etc? not 100% tho

Let me guess tho - you've been told its rotten?
As for some reason recently (last year) we've seen 1 or 2 threads where people have been told the frame is rotten when infact its just some light surface rust
A good wire wheel and spray and back it goes!

Actual Holes? wow... thats probably worst one then
Most fail on a little scabby rust

Get a decent one off a straight scrapper
Clean it up - Paint it - Get it Retracked and retested
OR retest then retracked

In Ebay Italy there are cleaned etc. subframes, but they are for MK2B Puntos, that why I asked if it fits MK2 Punto.

concur
main thing is make sure replacement doesn't come from accident damaged car and so out of alinement's
last subframe i bought was mashed but online description failed to advise of this
the wonders of the internet eh
