Technical Project Paolo

Had to shot blast something for the father-in-law this weekend so whilst I was in that mood decided to refurb the wheel jack. Also just waiting for the paint to dry on my old 500 pull starter and then that will be going up for sale

Found a guy who will take the shell as it is, finish it off and then respray it all for a good price. That will free me up to crack on with everything else. Gotta be driving it early 2017!

Update.
Went to see the guys premises yesterday and to discuss things. He reckons he will collect Paolo end of next week and it will take him 3-4 weeks. I could have a painted shell back by end of October! It's quite daunting handing over my unfinished work but the guy is a classic car enthusiast and I've seen his work. He's promised me he won't put primer on until I've inspected his prep work and am happy with it. Quite exciting

Car is getting picked up Saturday. Busy white washing garage walls, then clear everything out, get rid of filler dust, level floor and then paint floor. Create a nice clean home for when he returns from paint shop

Off white. Old english white I think. Antique ivory is too beige. Gonna get some samples sprayed

I had my steel hardtop painted old English white.
It's a great colour.
I've since put a chequered wrap on it and I'll see what works best.
What colour interior are you put in?

What colour code did you use for the hard top Andrew?

Mine's off white, hoping to be driving early 2017.

Interior is red and black so I'm adding touches of red elsewhere. Engine HT leads, starter motor, also air intake mesh.

I've got some californian style wing mirrors, black currently but I'm thinking of spraying them red.

Just need to find a good red sunroof. Not bordeaux.

Old English WhiteFactory code BLWT3 - Dupont code 8207 - Ditzler code 8177 1963-67

Its a perfect example of the classic colour!

Been to visit the car today for a progress up date. He hasn't even had it a week yet but hes finished all the prep and put the first lot of primer on! Hes also painted the rear grill panel in Fiat 249. Its an off white and looks great in the flesh. Going again Friday for another update. Hes also managed to put the panel line back in between front and wings
