Project Collie-Bra (a.k.a project Calibra)

so, whats the details on it?

16v?
redtop?
I NEED DETAILS GODAMMIT!!! lol

well im getting it back later, it will be at least 1 gram lighter due to the fact it will be missing a sunroof fuse

apparently the bits it need to be 100% functioning are £600 new from germany......yeah..... removal of the fuse and sticking the broken bit back in as a far cheaper option. i can always get the bits from a scrappy later to get it fixed properly, but until then, its not like im going to be needing much of a sunroof through winter anyway (y)

on a secodary note you dont know where to get scotch locks around here do you cento :)

looking through the calibra forums, it seems the tigra sunroof is the exact same system :) most folk just forget they are there and dont use them in fear of them doing what mine did, haha

scotch locks...if halfords or autosave don't have any, try allans auto electrics on peddie street. he used to have a wee electrical shop round the back and seemed to sell all sorts of connectors iirc, maybe worth a shout :)

cheers, im happy with most of it ;)

its not an se, just a standard cally. the leather was standard but was a deleteable option for those that wanted to make it a bit cheaper.

the se's of the time were the se5, which was black and the se6 which was light blue, both had the 8v engine :)

but yeah, its one of the later models, third last year of production. the best made ones that were actually built in Finland of all places. all made in the saab factory there as opose to the early ones, which were german and scarily rust prone.

boring piece of trivia, but when the calibra stopped production, the next non saab car to come out of that factory was...... the porsche boxter, before they moved production in house i believe.

the white dtms are awesome :D nightmare to keep clean though ;)

I'd love to find a nice clean calibra, rare sight now though.

Nice colour mate (y)

Welcome to the Vx side ;)

lol thanks

in my (rather weak) defence only my steering wheel has a vauxhall badge on it, the car has opel badges on the front and back and mudflaps..i get the feeling even it doesnt like being a vauxhall

so in my defence, i only have one foot in the vauxhall/opel door, and i still own 2 fiats, so at most, im 33.33% a vauxhall owner, still 66.66% fiat (y)

ok even i cant make my badge argument stand ;) , it is still a vauxhall, so i am now on the dark side..even if it is only a bit :p

ive gone from the dark side to the rising sun with the jap car now lol :) although there was nothing wrong with the dark side while it lasted :D

Jeez, that rather sucks :(

You need one of those car theft devices like I saw in a vid from South Africa where carefully positioned flame throwers are utilised for any rapscallions that decide to get too near your motor without proper permission ;)
