I don't think any of you understand quite how serious this is. It's not a case of slap the engine in and all's done - it's a complete nut and bolt rebuild.

Focus people this is important

Kinda needing the garage gone it's stored in tbh, finances are a a bit strained just now, asking myself if this will ever get done given everything that's been on and constant lack of time or whether to break what's left of it and sell the good bits on :(

I don't have enough money for any bits just now, the lock up rent itself is proving a strain tbh, as well as the constant risk of it getting broken into yet again etc etc.

it comes down to that tbh. Putting out money every week is less money i have to buy parts, which means i need to pay more rent over time etc etc. and with limited time as it is, just not really viable.

it's not fitting things that's an issue.

we'll see how it plays out just now.

Stick a 8v back in and get it back on the road ... then when its on the road find a new garage to carry on this 100 year :p 16v conversion

but if you do sell Ill take the wheels off your hands (Y)

it doesn't just need an engine, needs gearbox, full suspension kit, lights, hub, driveshaft, mounts, rad and a tyre.... Off the top of my head to make it even vaguely road worthy again in 8v form.

it genuinely would only work out fractionally more expensive to 16v it given i already have some parts for the conversion!

It's not Martyn who has a say in what's stored in the shed it's me :p

Unfortunately we're 70-odd miles away from Mark and the cost of getting the cinq up on a transporter is probably too prohibitive - never mind the fact I'm reluctant to store any more broken cars in there in case my work think I'm taking the **** and chuck us out :(

I'd love to help you out Mark and if we get Yellow mot'd and out of storage it might be a possibility if you can get it up the road. Sadly for now 2 centos in the shed is enough

Ok.... A small update, not to the car as such, but all may not be dead...even though it's dead :p You'll see what i mean in time, aiming for a BIG update on the whole situation soon, it's probably not going to end up how many expect it will after all this time of nothing ;)

However..... I am now breaking this. Certain parts are spoken for, but things like the Hormann bumpers front and rear etc are available :)
