imo, its going to be a cat d, easily repaiable, but expensive, had to laugh at the blokes daughter trying to say the bodyshop will just pull it out and the light was OK!!!!

Ah yes, that old beauty about the wing being salvagable?

Not going to slate the guy, or his daughter, cos as I said it would have been so easy for him to do whats just the norm now and **** off without saying anything. Then where would I be? Losing my no claims, I reckons.

Will see what tomorrow brings

Sorry to see that Martyn, you were just about to get really on with the car. Damn shame :(

Thanks mate.

That's the thing that's REALLY pissing me off. I've just spent a small fortune (for me, anyway) sourcing new bits - you should see the pile that I've just taken up from the car. Anyway, all being good, she'll live on in one form or another.

Had numerous calls at work today from the garage RE assessment, and from the driver assist folk too.

I should have a courtesy car tomorrow, and once I have the keys in my hand I'll be phoning the garage to come and uplift the HGT...the only bugger is their fully booked and can't even look at her til NEXT Tuesday IIRC! :(

Waitings frustrating!

Insurance assessor rang earlier. I was busy and couldnt take the call. By the time I got the voicemail and rang back (all of ten minutes) he'd switched it off for the weekend!

My insurance have said they've sent off the information to the other guys insurance (forwarded the claim) but the other guys insurance are, and I quote 'not as good as us'...I wonder if callers, on an 0845 number, wait 15 minutes to speak to someone

Seems the good old game of pass the buck is underway :tosser:

sad news indeed

Sorry to read this M, not having much luck with the HGT are you :(

Hopefully it'll all be sorted soon (y) and not at your expense/loss.........

Good god you lot are pessimists.
As one door closes another opens up doesn't it?

I smell a track car. With the added benefit of allowing you to run something with less of an addiction to gogo juice without feeling like your missing out on BHP. (y)

Like a JTD ;)

Thats not a bad idea actually, did you ask about buying the car back? or since its claimed through someone elses insurance dont you get to keep it and dispose of it as you like anyway?
