Hey people, (301st post woooo :slayer:)

Im looking to try and get my hands on a 126. After realising, unless I wanna pay stupid prices then it would be better getting a LHD model from abroad. I hit up "autoadsite.com" and found that there are LOADS of lovely models in poland. But when it came to converting the Polish currency, Zlotchy (sorry for the spelling) to GBP, I came a croppa.

For example,
This car http://autoadsite.com/404_126.html,92586_fiat_126_petrol.
Is advertised at 950,00 ZL
Using coin mill I converted it to gbp and I got £17896.09!!!!
I thought the "," may have been acting as a "." but converting 950Zl to gbp gives me £178.96??? Surely it cant be right?

If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers
Tom

£200 sounds about right, but for the most part they don't treat them very well so you may be paying £200 for the car, you'll then have to pay another £2-300, maybe more, getting it back to the UK, then you'll have to get it registered and MOT'd, and until you have a proper look over it you'll have no idea what's wrong with it.
Have a look over at http://club126uk.co.uk for more info, scan through some of the 'For Sale' threads and you'll see the usual problems associated with bringing a 126p into this country.
That said, it's easily the most fun car I've ever owned :D

Cheers man,
Im looking to get my hands on something classic without the classic pricetag. Ill head over the club126 and have a gander. Fetching it shouldnt be too much of a problem, OH's step-dad has a XL transit on fleet insurance and a new 500 can easily fit in the back and I woulnt mind a trip across europe ;)

Cheers
Tom
