No that's my job, I mean putting myself down, not putting Cinqy down.

Yeah, I've tried it flat across the top KoA and it looked duff, but that was when it was flat at the bottom, so when I get a chance, I'll try a few more shapes. I was thinking I might widen the V but not quite so much that it is parallel with the bottom of the mesh area. I've also noticed that it makes the perspective look a little odd on the detail that I put in the middle of the bit at the bottom of the bumper, but it's only where they are on different gradients, so I think it is probably as it would really look. I thought the narrow V would look more aggresive/menacing, whatever we are going to call it, but it makes it difficult to avoid the shape looking like a heart.

I can't believe that I have deliberated so much over such a small detail, no wonder I my modding takes so bloody long. I still wanted to put more detail on the bonnet, the sides and possibly the roof yet, but none of that may happen as the missus is now off work for a couple of weeks, revising for her finals.

Its amazing hw quickly time goes though when you're absorbed in it... I started doing the front bumper at about 9 and when I next looked at the clock it was nearly 11.30... It just takes so long making small alterations. Although if I were to do the same again now it would probably take about 30 mins max, because its experience (muscle memory? - thats from guitar...)

Looks good to me at the mo neo... brings back memories of batman movies...

Uuuurggh, I just tried without the V and with various degrees of wider V and it wasn't good, so it looks like that bit is staying as it is. My missus said Batmobile as well, I guess that's good as the Batmobile was quite menacing, well the recent incarnations of it at least.

KoA, do you remember a batmobile that used to drive around Bournemouth from time to time. I'm not sure how long you've lived in that area, but it used to be around about 10+ years ago. If you were around there then, there' also a good chance you would have seen my mates chopped Mini that I referred to, it was bright yellow with tinted windows and the aforementioned very low roofline.

Yeah mate i was around, I saw the batmobile but at the time i was a little erm, paranoid for some weed (i mean weird) reason and i thought Batman himself was after me.
Next day i thought it was just another one of those strange things that you see but actually didn't :D

I also remember that Mini Neo, it looked really mad, god knows how anyone actually fitted inside it :D

As I said it was rather uncomfortable. Talking of strange sights in Bournemouth, did you ever see the two guys who used to go everywhere dressed as The Blues Brothers.

LOL... yeah, that was a while ago wasn't it ?
I think they came into the Hollies pub a few times :)

Nice Chop BIGLEE... looks cool.

Man, I haven't been to the Hollies for a while, actually been in briefly a couple of times when arriving early for a meal at Luigi's. OK, that's probably off topic enough, well I did drive there in a car.

Nice job BIGLEE, that must be one hell of a strong hinge on that bonnet. It reminds me a little of a fly's wing, how bizarre a bonnet that looks like a wing.

Sod it, I think I might post mine as it is. I want to add loads of bits, but there's no space to put them. I suppose I'll play for a bit longer, but the last update may well be my final.

Right, just an update to remind people the closing time is 18:00 tomorrow. I'm going out at 18:30 so need to get the process done quickly...

So far I have:

KoArAnG
Bushboy
thefishdude
sei03
BIGLEE

AppleSei, I presume the one in the gallery is final, but as the filename is not in the correct format, could you either change it or let me know it's final

Who else is there that will be posting tomorrow before 6 (other than neo...)?

Cheers

You done a heck of a lot more than me! i didnt really want to over work it with it being my 1st, thought i might end up going to far and spoiling it. Ill wait till ive done a few more before a start getting brave lol

Al

To be honest, mine probably has enough done to it, I just thought that the kind of design I was going for could handle being fairly fussy/busy with bits all over the place, but if I did do it, it could well have looked worse for it.

Yours is cool anyway, it's not really about how much you do, it's more about what look you are trying to create. There are some that I have done very little to, it just depends when you think it's finished. It's probably easier to overdo it than it is to get the balance just right.
