Hello.

The position light (parking light) is still on when the car is switched off, the light controller is set off in the car, and the keys have been taken out of the ignition lock.

Can anyone answer what the problem might be?

Check indicators are off, turn lights on put the key in turn on, and then switch off again. Paking lights are activated by putting the indicator on or the lights on after the key is removed on mine, and the sequence to swtci on does vary on older cars. Doing the shuffle above should turn them off, When you want these things you can never make them work and when you dont.....

Rears only
Front and rear

Everything is controled via the body computer, it can get itself in a knot, it never full switches off

Disconect the battery negative for a few second, to force the computer to load everything from a fresh

There is a function on some fiats where if you stitch the ignition off, then turn the lights on then off they stay on permently

Hello again.
It's both front and back. it started on the right side both front and back, but it's almost turned off again on the right side as you can see in the pictures, but now the left side is on constantly.
I tried the advice you gave but it didn't work.

Right

That's a shame, it puts us no closer to a solution

There's a few areas where the problem could be

If you have some bidirectional software such as multiECUscan

You can switch the lights on and off in the actuator section

You can also see if the stalk switch is function is working properly

If you switch the lights on do they come one fully not just dim

Ignoring the lights on, if you operate the light do they all work normally front and rear

Fog
Reversing
Side
Head
Main beam
Indicators left, right, side repeaters,hazards
Brake

Do the brake and indicator work together

Sorry for the long list of thing to check, at the moment I don't have enough information to go in a single direction,

Without access to any software, or any more information we are down to disconnecting the stalk and visually inspecting the body computer connectors and so on

In addition to the above, do the indicators self cancel normally as they should, and are there any clicking / creaking noises when the steering is turned. The self cancelling mechanism doesnt seem too well made and if there as some slpo it may be relevant.

Try what's known as a hard dump. Remove both battery leads Neg - first then Poss + wait for a couple of mins then touch them together for 10 secs.
Refit the leads to the battery Pos first then Neg. See if that makes any difference. If it does it's a result if it doesn't there's nothing lost.
