My vehicle's headlight electrical installation was quite bad. I've seen plenty of poor socket placement when installing aftermarket headlights.

I renewed all cables and strengthened their connections.

The vehicle automatically turns off the output when the parking light is not connected. This gave me incredible difficulty trying to identify the cables. I was losing my mind.

In the meantime, I decided to change my old type bulbs.

I replaced my headlight bulbs with Osram nightbreaker 130% model.

When I changed my parking bulbs to LED. I noticed that the LED went out. It cuts off the electricity within 2 seconds. I guess because the current drawn by the LED amplifier is not enough, the device assumes that the bulb is missing or problematic and turns it off.

Has anyone encountered this problem and solved it?

Should I install "no can error" resistors?

I found the solution.
We needed to connect a resistor that would draw around 4-5 watts in parallel to the parking bulb.

Thus, the ecu thinks there is no problem with the lamp.

The only disadvantage of this situation is that the energy savings we obtain by installing LED lamps are converted into heat energy by a resistor :)
Since it's around 1 dollar. I didn't bother buying a stone resistor myself, I bought it ready-made.

As with most CanBus /. intelligent systems,
Led are more for aesthetics than practicality

I leave my electrical items "factory"

Panda 169
14 years : No bulbs.. Or fuses 🙂

Punto 199 10 years.. One DRL bulb.. Had been illuminated for 42,000 miles🤔

(Another 30,000.no failures 👍)

Definitely. Especially if the low and main beams are halogen bulbs. The heat of halogen bulbs often damages LED bulbs. However, since there was some distance between the panda's parking lot and the low beams, I decided to use it.

I worked in the solar panel industry for 8 years. The only thing I did until the evening was milliampere calculations, power and energy calculations. That's why measuring and saving energy is a professional habit for me.

To be fair unless it's something like a motorhome and your trying to use it off grid

The energy savings are meaningless the draw of the bulbs is nothing on the alternator
This is definitely a habit of mine.
