Hi all,
id like to share my experience regarding my panda not starting when warm.
Ive been having a few issues over several weeks with the car taking a long time to start giving the 'engine failure' message or not starting at all.
On trying to solve the problem we noticed that there was no spark whilst trying to start the car so today I resorted to calling out the AA who within minutes had isolated the fault to crankshaft sensor which im told would not allow it to 'spark' if it was faulty/broke which it turned out to be.
A common problem im told when the engine is warm then stood for a while.
Since this sensor was replaced I have ( touch wood!) had no problems and she starts first time every time in a fraction of a second.
Ive noticed other posts mentioning the same problem so perhaps it may be worth just changing that sensor which cost me £30
I also bought new plugs and leads which have yet to be fitted but now ive got them!!!
Hope this information proves useful to anyone else who has had a frustrating time trying to get their car started with similar symptoms
P.S I will be keeping a close eye on how things go on and ill let you all know if the problem returns
