yeah, the number plate kinda sold it to us
I have a brand new bump stop that you can have for £10 posted. There is an ad in the classified section.
But surely you should be able to control the iPod via the steering wheel controls.
Nope, the aux cable basically turns the car's stereo into a huge pair of headphones, as far as the phone/MP3 player is concerned. But surely you should be able to control the iPod via the steering wheel controls.
How did you get the pins out of the aux cable you purchased? Did you manage it without hacking the yellow connector on the cable to bits?Well, i have a bump stop on its way thanks to the post above
Most important thing to sort on the car first is the music, as the wife was wanting to play the iphone through the stereo..
Some good threads on here giving the info, so.. a blaupunkt blue aux cable was purchased.
removed the stereo to gain access to the rear and these plugs
Removed the 3 pins from the bought lead
And fitted them into the yellow connector, earth in the middle. L/R either side
Works a treat! Routed the lead down and out by the cup holders, though this was a better place than the glovebox. As you cant reach the glovebox safely when on your own in the car.
