I don't think the fact that it is reversed in the mirror makes too much difference if you are dying all your hair.

Use a lightener first and the colour will come out closer to the packet illustration and the colour will last at least four times longer. Unless you strip the natural colour from the hair first it will always overpower the dye.
i got fed up of dying my hair different colours , will be sticking with just bleached and black for my twin mohawks

ok am sat here with my head wrapped in clingfilm with the pre-lightener will need washing out at 9 then will whack the vanilla blonde on - i just hope it isnt too blonde with me having to use the pre-lightener on it
