Is the fuel pump supposed to be noticeable? Or, put more accurately, the noise from the fuel pump? Seem to recall my LE had the same a while back....signs of it giving up?

Not too sure, from time to time I notice the noise from mine (depends on rev's at the time). I think its a bit like living with tinnitus, its always there but only really noticeable in certain circumstances!
On start up you hear it cause it fires as soon as the ign is turned on, or if you have low fuel you will hear it with the echo and vibration from inside the tank. Other than that it's pretty quiet.

Come to think of it, the low fuel explanation makes sense. Cheers Alan. Need to save up now to stick some petrol in it........
