Hey where it was previously power loss at the higher RPM's Im now getting Power Loss at Lower RPM's.

So now I have no power no power unless i press the accelerator right in and try and crawl through the revs until the turbo kicks in to give me the power to get anywhere. This doesn't happen when I first drive the car, it starts happening about 2mins into the drive.

I plugged in Diagnostics and after a frustrating half hour have got these from the ECU:

P1555 Accelerator/brake coherency signal low stored.
P0530 - Air Conditioner pressure sensor signal low fatal

P0404 - EGR

Exhaust gas recirculation circuit range/performance
The reason for this fault is that ECU did not receive signal from the sensor. The fault is not detected now, but it is stored

in memory. Clear fault codes, and observe for future appearance of the same fault. Dashboard warning light was not activated

for this fault.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cleared all errors, drove along with diagnostics recording. Only error that came up is the Air Conditioner one...

Seriously don't know what to do, Ive tried searching for similar problems but can't seem to find anything?

what sort of diesel is it, 8v or 16v multijet?
if its a 8v just blank the thing and carry on.
on the multijet i think its a different matter.
The solonoid is usually the problem, you could remove the egr and clean it up to get it working again.
this fault is typical of stuck egr.

P1555 means that someone has pressed the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time. The engine management ECU doesn't expect that to happen so gives a coherency fault.

P0530 - Air Conditioner pressure sensor signal low fatal. Usualy means that the A/c system is low on gas. On the petrol engines it can cause engine problems, but it's not known to on the diesels.

EGR valve is the most likely cause of your problem. As Roy says, it probably needs cleaning.

Cheers guys,

Well I didn't think it was my EGR as only a few weeks ago I cleaned it up and put it back together. But decided to check anyway. Turns out it was this as the spring was getting stuck open/closed so sorted that out and blanked it off and all works for now...

Ive ordered some blanking plate on ebay to replace my tin can self made one, but can someone just confirm the location of where I should be putting this?
Cheers

:: Forgot to say yes it is an 8v, and currently ive blanked it on the bottom pipe? leading off the bottom of the egr. Should the plate be on the other pipe? the bend between the engine and the EGR on the top.

This is where Fiat recommend fitting their swirl plate modification. A blanking plate would go in the same place.
