General New Forest Meet

Just spent all morning cleaning the car for the meet. Looking forward to meeting some of you for the first time.

Hi All
Just got home and wanted to say a BIG thanks to Yellow Luigi for organising today, another to Melanabb who very kindly let a total stranger (me and I am very strange!) drive her AGP (It was great by the way, bit grown up for me though).
Plus the others who joined us for a drive through the New Forest and looking (drooling) at some VERY expensive Italian super cars at Beaulieu.

Sorry my car was so dirty, but the spray on the motorway, after early morning rain, was horrible (still meant we had 1 yellow, 1 red, 2 white and my grey (was white) 500's.

Will attempt to post some pics.
See you in sept for the next one, oh and almost convinced other half we need a 500 Abarth! :devil:

Big thank you to Kirsty and Mark for organising another legendary NF meet! Had great time at Beaulieu, the forest drive was fantastic and time flew spent in great company! Nice meeting some new people too... Looking forward to the september and the next one...

Thanks to everyone that turned out today. It was grreat fun and it would not have been the same without you. It was good to meet some new people and great to see the old ones again (old in terms of number of these events - still young at heart!). Beaulieu was good and there were some new cars in the museum that we had not seen before. The best bit for me was watching all the cabriolet drivers running back to their cars when we had a shower. Super quick roof closing. We are really glad you all enjoyed yourselves and we are looking forward to the next time. Watch this space for more details!

We are thinking of arranging the next New Forest Meet. It has been a while...............

The thinking is to tie up with the first Italian Car Day at Beaulieu on Sunday 22nd May. Mark spoke to Beaulieu today and they want all the cars in place by 10.00am, so we cannot really have a drive through the forest first. So, we are thinking of this:

Meet at the Green Dragon in Brook at 9.00am for a convoy to Beaulieu. Stay until after lunch (suggest a picnic - food prices are HORRENDOUS) and then go for a convoy drive, taking in Ornamental Drive and maybe a few other Forest favourites. Cost for Beaulieu is £10 per adult, £5 per child. Discounts are available if we have enough interest BUT we need 20 people and would have to book at least one week in advance.

Over to you - thoughts please

Oh no dont tell me we missed it, oh now sad, last time we met thought the idea was we were going to be emailed.
