Insurance is madness, I'm 21 been driving 3 years, got quotes of £3000 for the abarth, told a company I'd been offered £700 to see what they said, offered me £699 and that's that, £699 for me pays to shop about and well, lie lol

I've never had that happen before I've told insurance companies my lowest quote (Lie) and they said they couldn't go any cheaper that £50 gazillion... :bang: Oh well

Your on coils at 18 and fully comp is £510 for you? Insurance makes no sense i swear. I'm 23, been driving for 4 years and all 4 are ncb. Mods declared and my premium for this year was £978 or something similar, and thats with tints, lowered on eibach sportlines and was with aftermarket TD's alloys. Renewal is 4th April, i'm going be having stern words!

I'm with Aviva now, It's a multi car policy so thats a discount, with online discount and employee discount with 2 additional drivers. I've been quoted £759 for a 1.4 t-jet though with 1 additional driver with no mods. I don't get insurance either! It's really annoying! Don't worry though I paid over £4000 for a year and a half of insurance when I 1st started driving!

Thanks! Yeah I considered removing the stripe today. I actually like it although the last thing I want is to make my car look tacky/ chavvy so I will most likely remove it tomorrow. (I say this but every time I think about it I always say Nah i'll leave it on... I have no idea why )

Thanks The Brackets were a bit of a b*****d to do but I got there in the end. I used a vice, blow torch and a hammer for the bending bit... Steel flat-bar I bought from B&Q. Just mark up where you want the bend on the bar place it in the vice about 5mm below that mark, heat it up and hit it with a hammer. Don't cut the bar to length before you bend it to shape! You've got more to play with then if you go wrong... less material loss.

Cheers! Yeah any gas struts will do. you only need one! I was very surprised as I wasted time making 4 brackets when only 2 were needed!!! HOWEVER I wouldn't use punto mk2 gas struts... The bonnet doesn't open far enough imo so I'm going over to the local scappys probably tomorrow to get longer ones out of any car... Thanks again! The wheels seem to have an almost 50/50 split for people on here as to who likes/ dislikes them

Cheers! Umm... bit of a touchy subject lol Speed bumps can be a nightmare sometimes! I'm getting the car up on the ramp next week to inspect any damage, oil/ grease the coilies etc... I love it being this low so am happy to swap a bit of metal for tarmac occasionally as long as it's nothing serious Depending on any damage I see when I get it on the ramp I will consider raising a little or making some skid plates lol.

Car looks well, just think it's about time you upgraded to some grown up wheels the bbs are nice and all, its just 15's in my opinion are way too small! + this would look sick with something wide thrown on it! Get some 16x9 bbs rs reps
Also, about the mirror caps, I only ever found 1 :/ sorry bud

Cheers Lol you really don't like my alloys do you! Haha. I would but unless I can get them for under 100 quid then I will leave it :/ The main reason being is that I don't really have the money to throw on new alloys. Plus it is likely this car will be gone at the beginning of next year! I'll get an MOT and once insurance run's out I plan to upgrade to an Audi (A3 2.0 turbo either petrol or diesel). That's alright bud, would have been good to take them off you, If you stumble upon the other, pm me or something
